very impressed that Phil was able to get a first rounder back in dumping Smith & Shump.
I'll miss both - they had their moments as Knicks, but both regressed in different ways.
What a dumbass move by them, unless shump pans out they will be regretting it alot just like we did with bargs.

We essentially gained nothing since Phil took on Calderon for two more years losing 500k of room. I feel like there was a better deal to be made out there if you packaged tyson and iman together initially.

From the amazing putback dunk by shump and amazing bursts of scoring to uplift the knicks to win games against really good teams, to him getting his ass whooped by deron williams I will never forget this guy and his contributions. Won't forget him but it had to be done.
Same for JR although i hate him more, he really disapointed me, he had so much talent! court awareness, passing, getting to the rim, and great highlights but he fucked himself in the ass quite frankly and regressed. Needed to get it together.

Well, yeah. The Tyson trade is still a really bad trade but this is one is actually good. We're dumping JR's salary and getting back a real asset all for the price of Shumpert.
