For real get rid of caldron and were set for a serious off season
Unfortunetly calderon is tougher to trade because he has multiple years and is older
He needs to cut Bargnani and Amre for me to be happy with him

The Knicks want to keep Calderon to help recruit Gasol.

He just traded jr smith....he traded Felton too.
so anything is possible, but I actually think they like calderon

Maybe if we include THJ with Calderon

And Dolan with Melo? Ah that maybe too much to hope for
I think I will be a team willing to take caldron to solidify a back up pg for a playoff push call the mavs maybe they want him back to back up rondolol
This is a great start on this summer. There's still a chance for another move. We'll see what Phil has up his sleeve. The cap situation just improved a great deal. We could have over $30 mil this summer. Spent wisely that can get some good players.
I think this is just the beginning of moves to be made before the trade deadline for the Knicks... Caldron and brags are next up on the chopping block

Not good enough to lure a super star. We will be shedding out a lot of money to one trick ponies this summer; you watch.

Not if Phil trades Melo

Not going to happen. Next season, Carmelo will trade Melo forever; he will return and play like a beast at both ends of the court

Calderon is going to be here for a while. His salary is nothing to sneaze at and I can't think of many teams who can pay that much for an old backup PG.
Priggioni is far better then Calderon

We have no idea what Phil plans to do. He may not spend all the money. He may make trades. At this point we just have to wait and see what else he does cuz he could go in any number of directions from here.
The good thing is that he's pushed the reset button on the rest of the roster. We finally got rid of JR and made a final decision on Shump. I liked Shump but at this point we can probably do better.

This season he has been but not normally. Jose has been a far better player for most of his career. He's have a horrid season. He could be done or just still dealing with some kind of issue, but this is not how he looked last year or years before this.

You're as good as the players around you, Nix.
This wan an amazing trade. We got rid of JR, made a determination not to retain Iman, and waived useless Dalembert to avoid guaranteed contract. Plus we made our current team considerably worse by losing our best defender (only one on perimeter) and our second best scorer.
With Philly beating the Cavs tonight, we're now tied for worst. We're lotto bound and may get some Irish luck in the draft to add a building block player.
$28mil to spend in the off-season is a dream. Today was great!

Moonangie it's even better cuz WE ARE THE WORST! IF you're gonna tank then do it right. We now have the most Ping Pong balls and finally in a year when we have our pick. That is good but now we have to hope we can break the trend and actually win the Lottery.
Yeah, we still gotta get lucky. But at least we didn't fold pre-flop, like we usually do. And Dolan is nowhere to be seen nor heard from.
Feeling really optimistic, and hope Silver decides its time for a little "lucky" break for the Knickerbockers.
