Found this player looking through metrics for guards. He's 6-3 200+ power guard(like a wade or a lillard) with a 44 inch vertical. Never seen him play in a live game but he has played as well as anyone in college basketball against some of the top tier schools. He leads CBB in scoring on a 36 minute basis and shooting 57% doing so and nearly 40 from 3. He has that combination of power speed and elite athleticism but you can see from this video he can also handle the ball very well, make plays with the dribble and shoot from deep with good form. The music in this video is annoying for a heads up and the video itself is grainy--but you can see the deal.

Looking back on some stats going back 10 previous years I have not found 1 player who averaged over 20 points from the guard position while also shooting better than 55%. He avg 62% and avg 14 points as a freshmen while only avg 24 minutes and shooting 40% from 3.

we will have a pick... maybe nothing crazy but I fully expect Phil to get in the draft... maybe a 3 and D swing man. Lot of time between now and then but we also have some vets etc to offer as well.

yeah, I'm sure we will get a second rounder at the least. and this is the kind of guy who might not even get drafted and be a summer league free agent or something. you never know.

Zeek woodley actually came out.

He's the only player in college basketball to have a +40 inch vertical who averaged over 20 points to shoot nearly 60% from the field over 40% from 3 and 90% from the ft line. He also has a powerful guard nba body at close to 6-3

He gets cool points for playing in my former conference. Did he even declare for the draft? He is still a junior right and it is not like he is a big name so why would he come out early. Also, it is strange that he has gone unnoticed. Maybe it is the lack of tourney exposure but even Lillard and McCollom was a known commodity to scouts. also, Wade is a different breed of guard than Lillard in my opinion. Dude easily weighed more than 220 lbs throughout his career while lillard probably hovers around 200 lbs.

He was on TV 2 years in a row against Arkansas and had 29 and 26. His team played without their star PG this year West who is also an NBA prospect. He did declare I just found out today.

You can kind of get a clue what type of athlete he is on this clip.

But its hard to find someone built like him 6-3 210++ who has a 40 inch vertical but can also do 40% from 3 55%++ from the field and 90% from the foul line. Shooting 40% from 3 and 90% from the FL is high attempts shows you can shoot it.

That's interesting, well his shooting numbers and efficiency are through the roof plus he rebounds well but I would like to see a player like him with more assists and steals. Lower school players have to dominate the box score and win in the advance stats. He totally wins in efficiency and without a combine invite he is the type you have come in to go against the highest comp in team workouts then shut down if he does great. The problem with that is that NY has zero picks so who are they working out?

Every single NBA team knows about every single player. Whatever is posted here is done 100X fold by the nBA. These guys will get individual workouts by teams if their not at the combine if a team is interested--we just wont know about it.

I like to see low school kids play well when they play tier 1 opponents. Thats how I spotted Jeremy Lin same way.

Just looked him up on realgm and it said he withdrew from this summer's draft and will be eligible for the 2017 draft. But yeah, nice find. He's impressive athletically/physically and those are some insanely good numbers he put up his last 2 seasons. I fear that we might need some help at the 2 spot sooner than next summer, though. I really hope Courtney Lee can turn the corner soon and start having an impact. He's been totally invisible. When we got him there were a lot of people trashing Afflalo, saying Lee was the better player and even though I didn't agree I remained silent. Certainly doesn't look like that so far. Can't understand the Afflalo hatred at all. To me he's had a very solid career and was a pretty good player for us all in all. He was aggressive on offense and has always possessed a good, multifaceted offensive game -- create, drive, post up. Main thing was he was aggressive. I said it many times last year when people complained--you want Afflalo shooting the ball. That's what he was brought here to do--shoot/score the basketball!! Shot over 44% last year from the field, over 38% on 3s. I dunno man--I thought he did his job here. Now we gave a guy double the contract Afflalo wound up getting from the Kings who's playing scared out there, refusing to go after it and get himself engaged. I feel like James Harden absolutely ROASTED Lee that first preseason game and he hasn't recovered.. I mean tell me we just didn't give a guy $50mm to sleepwalk through games out there. Phil's the one who gave him that money--you better believe he's thinking the same thing right now. This kid Woodley looks nice, definitely someone who might make sense for us next summer but in the meantime--what the hell's up with Courtney Lee???
