of all the picks and young players the cavs dealt...they still have all their own picks except for one.

for Kevin Love - and then we can have all the cap space in the world this off season.

Id take that and a lot of draft picks really or Melo for Love

Doesn't change the issue that Cleveland could clearly use both Chandler and Shumpert.
And that Sergey Karasev and Tyler Zeller were literally dumped for space this offseason. Zeller is killing it for the Celtics now. Karasev is starting for the Nets at SF. Both were former 1st rounders who just couldn't crack the rotation.
I'm still a believer that the Knicks could have ate some salary ( this might be an instance where you do it, you get a young center and wing with 1st round pedigree) and gotten out of the Shumpert situation earlier and have Zeller and Karasev now.
LBJ is a horrible de facto GM. (instead of finding a center in the offseason, made sure his buddy Mike Miller is on the team) Morey was pushing Asik for a first rounder in the offseason. Cavs could have gotten a better center rental, cheaper, and earlier. And what was the point of giving Varejao that contract if now you have to also pay Mozgov ( now he has giant leverage, you don't cough up two first rounders to let a guy walk) and get no value out of Tristan Thompson, who most certainly is gone now.
Just a poor use of assets overall by the Cavs.
+1

Because they tore down for 3yrs and rebuilt by plan
Not by accident and did it systematically
On ESPN First Take
Interesting what Larry Brown had to say about packing it in and the message it sends
And speaking on trying to build superstar teams but he feels New York is a special place
He liked the trade for all teams Knicks-Thunder-Cavs

Jr and Shump. JR is our secred trojan horse of ruin. His disfunction will spread and Love will come to the tranquil meditation of the Knicks where he will blossom both as a man, human and basketball player!!!!
Namaste muthaphuchers!!!!!
Denver cleared salary and got 2 1st for
A center who could barely get clock under Karl one yr
Barely cracked rotation following yr
Became a starter this yr but was losing some slight ground to Nurkic
Mozgov may now breakthrough to DPOY like Tyson, maybe next year
Cleveland is panicking and have to make a run this year..They need a center desperately..Do they lose Love or Bron or both if they get bounced early in the playoffs..The only pressure on the players to resign with Cleveland is if the win and do well in the playoffs..If the stink, dudes will be running for the exits..
When was the last time the knicks Acquried a 1st round pick. Thank god we werent allowed to trade our 2015 pick because we would have and as using usual come to regret it

And all exits lead to the 5-32 Paradise?
They may have overpaid slightly but their are in win now mode with the best player in the league and two other top tier players. 2 of those players can leave in the summer so they have to do what they can to keep them.
What I find interesting is that they do not really need a great offensive weapon. They could have used any defensive PnR Center FA to help their cause. There is only one ball and Love is already lacking touches. A Chris Anderson/Jeff Adrien type would have been great too imho.
They got their man though and a young Center than can develop eventually. Good for the Cavs and Good for Denver.

Jeff Adrien just go waived, so if they want to
They could land him assuming they have a roster spot available
Although they too today had to waive AJ Price for the second time this yr

you may be right. However as long as you have lebron you have like a 90 percent chance of making Theo finals so they are gonna be aggressive in trades

I saw that about Adrien earlier. I Also, they might be waiving Price to not have his contract guaranteed. If he clears they can re-sign him on a 10-day.
Also, Mozgov is not really that Young either. Wow, time flies.

While Moz was an old rookie coming into the league
he doesn't have tons of mileage NBA wise
He's sat the pine quite a bit and had a couple injuries
He's spry now and will more than likely help the Cavs if he works on his hands and rebounding

Like I said I still like the trade for Cleveland under the circumstances they are under.
Wow, If Cole wasn't goofy. I wonder what his honest value is?
I know what it really is and that is a good thing come this off season.
That wasn't very Knick like to protect those picks.
Hector wrote:That wasn't very Knick like to protect those picks.
its amazing the knicks seem like the only teams to never protect picks. Knicks are my favorite sports team but we must be the dumbest in the league if not in all of sports
The Anthony trade is just the gift that keeps giving for Denver, isn't it?

the only good thing for us is that gallo has been hurt so he hasnt been the factor he is when healthy.
