Knicks · the knicks being the worst team is bad for the NBA (page 1)

The NBA must be loosing millions of $ the media/money capitol of the USA/world has the least desirable team to watch. Thats why the NBA might consider rigging the draft to make sure we get the number one pick. Bad nyc team is bad for business, real bad . Just imagine how much more $$$$ the NBA would make if the knicks were a top 5 team. A championship contending team would make ratings skyrocket and NBA marketing would skyrocket talk about making big $$$ on a global scale . the NBA knows how much money there loosing with the knicks in the basement there number one goal financially should be for the knicks to rise to the top.

Knicks have been the worst team for 15yrs. If anything the league has grown over that time frame
KNICKSBIGCATS @ 1/8/2015 2:06 PM
I 100% agree that the league needs a strong/competitive team in NY to gain more recognition, fan interest and support. A D league team playing at the Mecca generates ridicule; a strong team generates great interest around the league.

that is true

is this really true? ny hasnt won anything in 40 years and the nba has made it along. if the nba figured only big markets matter, they should never have left seattle or moved to memphis or have teams in sac and other small markets.

certainly could argue its possible nba could do better if the knicks mattered. perhaps checking the ratings of the knicks/rockets finals may show something.

As long as we get a top 3 pick i'm okay with it. Okafor is the best, and most ready, but not by a wide margin. Towns would be putting up numbers in any other program in the country, and Mundiay would be putting up great numbers in the NCAA. These 3 are top tier guys, then there will be a drop after them. We land top 3 and life is good.

My #2 is Stanley Johnson actually. There is nothing to go on with Mundiay (for now) and not much more on Towns

Mudiay is my second choice, I think he has the skill set to be great. He seems like a player that would fit the triangle well.
