By next year he will be the best C in the league. Hes already highly skilled and 6-11 280 no one will be able to stop him. He ate up Cousins last night at will. By the way that was a Carmelo draft pick used in acquiring him and Harris.
So when Dolan sits down to jerk off over melo for the 1000 time--he can just remember just how F stupid he is.
For a 20 year old rookie, his #s look excellent

Ha, why don't you tell Dolan how you really feel.

Billionaires generally don't jerk off they have employees who do those sorts of things for them

I just watched the video of his highlights from the game last night.
Looks like he really got under DeMarcus skin, but that's not hard.
I check the box score to see if it affected DeMarcus' play and noticed he had 32pts and 13 boards.
I don't know I would say "He ate up Cousins" when it certainly appears Cousins was able to get pretty much whatever he wanted all night.
This is a joke right???..Gallo hasn't played in two and a half years..The Mayor who I loved when he was here never improved..Mozgov never improved..16 pts 8 boards makes u a franchise player??..That trade isn't even close at this point..

I'll give credit where credit is due. Melo has been critical in this .480 era!
The gift that keeps on giving

Yet where have we gotton?
This isn't a bash Melo thing for me because that's not what I do. With that said, for me, when we gave up those assets, we should have expected serious progress. We hardly made any progress besides 2 first round exits and a second round exit... and now we are on our way to a first round pick which we aren't guaranteed to even have, yet we find ourselves DESPERATELY needing it. To top it off, we find ourselves HOPING Melo remains hurt so we don't f' that up, thinking it will all just go away at Summers end, even though we know perfectly well (as Knicks fans) that it doesn't work that way with knees that have seen many NBA miles.
With that said, you can go ahead and say "We didn't give up anything" and "Melo is a franchise player, stop bashing him" and "Melo can't do it by himself" all you want. However, that trade hasn't done jack squad for us 4 or 5 years later and I sure as in hell expect more from Melo than shooting 38%, 42% and 41% from the field, especially when he had other players around him playing well on offense in that second round exit.

I did notice you stopped quoting those percentages when Woodson was coaching...

So in your assessment, why haven't we gone as far as you thought the Knicks should have??..And when was Melo shooting those numbers???
He shot those numbers in the 3 years we were in the playoffs with him.
I don't put this all on Melo because I am not one of those so called haters. I actually semi like him and can talk about his good traits too.
With that said, I think we haven't experienced more success because it's close to impossible to build a team around him with his salary and style of play.
If you thought the trade would solved problem of having a bad coach then you were wrong..If you thought the trade would have solved the problem of having a bad GM then you were wrong..If you thought the trade meant Amare will stay healthy, we were all wrong there...If you thought the trade would solved the problem of our owner starphucking with these GMs/Coaches that everyone seems to endorse, and now backpedaling, then you were wrong there too...
What are the requirements of becoming a Melo hater?
For the record, I give him a pass for the first 2 playoffs because he really had nobody... even though he really could have done a better job stepping up. However, in both of the playoff series in the season we lost in the second round, he does not get a pass. He had a more complete team and other guys made a contribution. While we went a blamed Smith (I was absolutely Smith's loudest critic), we hardly even noticed that Melo wasn't playing nearly as well as we needed him to. He got a big time pass that he didn't deserve to get.

But we lost to a better team...How can you complain about that??..The better team wins in the playoffs..
And speaking about Melo, he was doubled in that series..No one else contributed anything..How did Denver do in the second round??
Another question. Does hating the melo trade and his contract qualify as MeloHate? Or do you have to hate the site of his face?
Briggs... I doubt he's clever enough to connect those dots.
There is legit hope in the simple fact that as the new president one of Phil's organizational values will be the draft. I don't know if his FA plan is top tier or more 2nd tier quality guys.. but they are already using the Dleague team... adding Phil type players (he LOVES the wingspan guys) and he added picks so far rather than trade them.
Its an "educated" hope... Some like the poop in the room hey it stinks in here crowd like F5 would suggest Phil is retarded in such manners because he has never held this role before.... as if suggesting he's had no exposure to it and its requirements. Bottom line anyone taking a job like this will look back at the past failures and look at what were the biggest mistakes made... and anyone who ISNT an idiot will see the squandered use of the draft will be at the top of that list.
But hey... Im just thinking here.
Of course is beyond silly premature but if Galloway, Early, Wear and Thanisis all turn into nice rotation role players (hell if two of them do) Phil is already doing more that the last guys since Isiah was finding those

In other words, the Melo trade was the steal of the century.
But if you thought anything good would happen from it, you were wrong.
He has played less minutes than Wear. Who is in charge of developing this kid
