He's the worst starting player I've ever watched in the history of watching basketball... Trade him before other teams realize how bad he really is ... This guy makes me miss Felton
Yea he is worse overall than Felton and that's bad real bad
gunsnewing wrote:Yea he is worse overall than Felton and that's bad real bad
Jose no matter you guy say is still a 13gm winning improvement difference
He didn't have a chance to play with Bargnani none of us got to see them
Build Chemistry it's real sad this thread exist but hey
At least Phil gets to work with a high draft pick
We haven't had this in yrs, although we had
Frye[5th], Gallo[6th], and Hill[8th]
But this time it's different you can feel it's our time
To cash in with the #1 overall pick

Lol what are you talking about 13 game wining improvement I think we have won one game since he's been starting... Pretty sure Felton had a better winning percentage with the Knicks lol.. How can you possibly be defending Jose ..Jose will be lucky to get 13 wins period ... Please don't defend the worst starting player in knick history ... I'd take Felton 10 times over 10 over Jose

But when Felton was here we wished we had a player like Calderón. Calderón might still be hurt, or maybe ask the basketball miles finally caught up to him.
With that said he's horrible right now. He has no rhythm or confidence. He's currently the best player on the team as far as experience. It just continues to why we suck.
But yo....why complain? We're looking at the lottery. Calderón might be gone in a few weeks anyway

Jose is obviously having he worst season of his career. Don't know why. Could just be age caught up with him. It's stupid to keep going on and on about it as if Phil isn't seeing this. Jose will be dealt with at some point.

Have to hope it doesn't result in trading
For another Jose like disaster, Phil may have to anchor
The 2019 2nd round pick to him or waive him Josh Smith style
It would not hurt to wave Calderon

I'm fine with Galloway finishing the year as our pg
We need to get rid of Jose before it's too late ...
Calderon isn't a problem or the problem with this team. If he were on the Spurs, Thunder or Rockets, their fans wouldn't be having this discussion. The reality is that he can be a good role player on a team that doesn't depend on him consistently.
You know who was also bad and ridiculed? Beno Udriah. Maybe it's not the players or maybe the expectations of what the players are capable of are too high. It could also be a system/personnel fit. He has not looked good regardless and they need to scrap the triangle until the trade deadline to rebuild value.

Good point. The triangle or bust mentality has led to a lot of busts on this team.

What's funny is that Beno drives and can't shoot the three. A lot of mid range shots. Calderon never drives and can shoot the three. Well he used to.
I get the need to instil the triangle but after you see things are not working you have to go to plan b. Let players go to a more heavy PnR offense that spreads the floor to create interest in the players that have no future with your team. Silly teams would take a chance on someone like Ja. Smith because he is a 7 footer who can shoot and has a small expiring contract. A contender would maybe try to take a chance on Jose if they had other pieces to make up for his shortcomings.

Had to fix that lol All joking aside, Devon Harris was getting a good share of the PG minutes for Dallas as the season went on. I think Calderon can still contribute, but it has to be on a team with players who can draw double teams and can his defense. We have have none of those type of players right now and Jose looks like crap as result. I can guarantee you that Felton would look three times as bad here. The dude couldn't even beat out Jameer Nelson for minutes.

cant be serious. all three of those teams push the ball relentlessly and defend. calderon would not be on their roster.
