between him thanassis cole cleanthony... we could be a run n gun team for the rest of the season.
nate is the perfect triangle PG that phil would be targeting
Nate is 30 years old now. Damn time just goes. Even after knee surgery he still Flys up the court.
He should definitely be in our short list of vets to fill out the roster going forward. Nate is a fierce competitor. We had him young but he's got the respect around the league I'm sure.
Didn't we just get rid of JR because we wanted a culture change?

I see what you did there.

he's got more talent in his pinkie finger than any of our guards. he's not the perfect triangle pg but a great change of pace guard.

Well, this at least beats the Linsomelove we get exposed to from time to time...
I guess we need at least one head case on the team, with JR gone...Okay, Bring back KryptoNate!

those immature days are past him... can you please show me example of his head case behavior in recent years...? jr has shown those in all years of his career and they are both around the same age.
back up your statements with facts, not prejudice.

his stats??
You never looked at that before?
what about his stats are you looking at with only 10-15 mins of play?
Cartman718 wrote:what about his stats are you looking at with only 10-15 mins of play?
who cares how many minutes? Now minutes are an excuse? If he got more minutes, he would have better stats?

It is a possibility.
if thats the case that he is another Volume Idiot.
show me a (young) player that can be productive and efficient in limited bench minutes. That is who I would like us to look for.

clearly... you're the volume idiot, stat boy.

I am just tipping the iceberg with stats. I actually watch a lot of basketball.
I find that stat chasing together with watching is really enlightening and gives you a whole new insight into the game.
as a side note, stat geeks have argued vehemently against volume affecting efficiency.

Larkin is terrible...
I don't want Robinson, but he has a bad rep when his act has been clean for years now. He's competed in the NBA Finals, been a part of several good Western Conference teams, he was a hero for the Chicago Bulls during the campaign Rose missed and Thibodeau actually had him playing like a pest defensively.
Nate's been bad this year, but I could definitely see him going to a contender and turning his season around. I heard the Clippers were interested.
Cartman,
I think when you consider the nature of the Triangle your looking for disciplined players who will do things off the ball, provide diciplined ball movement, and have a good BB IQ.
Phil has generally prefered his guards "big" or have the wingspan.
While Nate is a spectacular athlete and fun to watch he is most valuable as a shot creater and instant offensive threat off the bench. He carried Chicago two years ago when Rose when down and their bench was offensively challanged.
Your obviously a fan, but objecively he drives his coach's crazy with his tunnel vision, Attention Deficeit disorder, and personality. Those might actually be fun reasons to watch him! I believe he is one of the greatest athletes on the planet right now and if he was 6-8 with a the looney toon brain he would be a top 10 player in this league. But he is not.
