Budenholzer may have a shot too.
Kidd is the dik that left brooklyn. He looks like a genius now going from a team of oldies and idiots to a team of young developing players.
The guy has balls and is really smart. He was a really really smart player and seems like a very smart coach.
We have an ex-sh1tty-dumbish player as are sh1tty coach. SWEEET.
That team plays the right way.
Congrats Mr. Kidd and thanks for memory 54.
He brings the best out of every player and knows how to utilize his players. Very happy for him and I am rooting for him to win it.

We could and should have hired Kidd to coach the Knicks instead of Woody or Fisher. He was a TRUE SUPER STAR PG, unlike Fisher who was simply a good mentor playing between two mega stars
Kidd looked shaky to start the year, but he turned it around. The Parker injury might have helped. The kid has talent, but he isn't ready.
OMFG! Can we stop with the Fisher bashing threads???? This forum used to be so good. So many great threads and points of view. Now we get this dumb ass Crap!!! Fisher may or may not be a good coach but after 40 games in a lost season we really don't know what he is. People were literally saying Kidd should be FIRED in his 1st season. They said the same things about Spoelstra!!! Being impatient is not a virtue.
This is why Knick fans can't have nice things. For decades they've said that you can't rebuild in NY and it's the fans and media that are the reason why. If this is how we're going to act when the team is clearly in a virtual rebuild there's no way we could do a Sixers style rebuild in this city. This is just pure GARBAGE being posted on this forum now.
Kidd is allowed to run HIS offense and adjust as he see's fit.
Fisher HAS to run the triangle no matter what...and even though this is what he agreed too, it's still a shitty deal.

We are congratulating a player that contributed a lot to Knicks and is having a great career as a coach.

No one wants the dude fired; I personally want to see better coaching out of him and his staff. If he is fired right now, he will be collecting $25 million for doing jack doodoo. If the media applies the pressure on him, it may force him to either resign or perform better as a coach. Thibodeau had a horrendous roster, but found ways to at least get them to defend consistently. If he is really a freaking coach, he are to show what he can do without a talented roster. Until then, he is nothing but a high paid clown.

So we can't point out are opinions on the obvious screw up and catastrophe?
Is it better to be indoctrinated with thread after thread about how great everything is and what Phil is thinking?
Reality!

Don't think he should be fired now because it would lead to more upheaval.
However, I predict that he does not make it through half his contract.
I would say that 90-10 odds against him making it.

What horrendous roster did Thibs have?

What horrendous roster did Thibs have?
The last three years, the bulls could not score the ball. They won games solely on their ability to play SMART COHESIVE defense. Offensively, they were horrendous, but they made the playoffs consecutively.
A good coach can always find ways to incite a marginal roster to play with effort on Defense every game. Players may not be able to make shots, but they certainly can impede the opposing team from scoring.
Kidd has been sensational going back to the second half of last season with the Nets. I really wish Jabari didn't tear his ACL.

The Bulls did have talent. They just didn't have a lot of offensive talent. People think that there's no such thing as defensive talent and that's not true. Noah came into the league as a high energy defender. The Bulls still had Noah, Butler, Deng, Gibson etc. So Thibs had something to work with on the defensive end. Thibs wasn't exactly coaching what Fish has now. Moreover, Thibs is a top coach and he actually had experience as an assistant in the league. Fish is a straight up rookie and he has nowhere near the talent Thibs had.
The hypocrisy on this board- if he'd been the Knicks coach, you would have been calling for his firing last season.

Clarity of hindsight is very enlightening!!!!!!
