Brooklyn looking to move Brook Lopez
3 team deal between Charlotte-OKC-Nets
Moving parts are
Jack-Lopez-Lamb-Lance Stephenson
He also said Nets have many trades on the table
Sounds like they'll be pulling a trigger within the next couple days
Wojo and Broussard are on this right now
Yo.....that's my freaking thread
Only saw it from Broussard. Wojo and Aldridge give it a bit more credibility. Bropez in OKC would be interesting.
Bropea' foot issues would scare me if I'm Presti. Interesting trade.
Lance Stephenson home in NY would scare me if I'm Billy King then again it's debateable the man actually has critic thinking skills...
As I said on another thread, I wouldn't be surprised if OKC also traded Reggie Jackson to the Nets (Jack is the Nets starting PG)- that would give them a backcourt of Reggie and Lance. I think we could also get that backcourt if we so wanted, but I'm sceptical it could work due to the poor 3pt shooting, plus both those players want to be stars.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been involved in three-team trade talks with the Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets centered on Brook Lopez and Lance Stephenson.
Lopez would go to the Thunder under the discussed trade, while Stephenson would be dealt to the Nets.
The Hornets would receive Jarrett Jack from the Nets and Jeremy Lamb from the Thunder.
Charlotte appears to be the most motivated party to make a deal.
Sam Amick of the USA Today reports that Kendrick Perkins would likely be dealt to the Nets if a deal is agreed upon.
Looking like Nets don't want Lance and are trying to deal direct with OKC. I think they'll trade Brook for Perkins, Lamb and Reggie Jackson
Fingers crossed it stays like that! I don't particularly want Reggie Jackson, but it's nice to have options!

That would be a nice flip by Brooklyn
Brook for Thad and Lamb
Reggie Jackson was never going to be part of talks
So the option always remained unless OKC has plans to do something else with him
One of which is to resign him
NEts are average team with crazy payroll concentrated amung 3 players.
If they can alleviate that into smaller pieces, it gives them great felxibility and might turn some of that back into picks while staying average and lowering payroll.
If he can do that, he might not have rebuilt for contention, but at least he makes it more attractive for sale.
At some point a new owner will want his own guy running the team. Then Hollins is on the chopping block as GM's want their own guy. Hollins has impressed me as a old school kind of coach who wants his guys to go hard if they are on the court.
Fear of BroPez foot is why he is discounted via trade, why is is even on the block. He is young, about 26 and its possible, like Kurt Thomas and some others that they get over their problems and go on to long term careers. Its a trade they can make and not be fatal for what they are giving up if he does not stay on the court. Next to Ibaka, that combo has serious upside!!!! Chemistry and skill set combonation could be very intense!
For what Brook makes he's not worth
Trying to have him as a focal point anymore
OKC seems like a perfect fit for what he brings

The won't resign reggae with Brooks $15mil on the books next year.
Didn't the Twolves just trade a first round pick for young? Now they're trading him for an expiring?! Idiots!

They probably would just because they let Harden go
Doesn't mean they'd do the same here, especially with recent injuries to WestBrook
In back-to-back season, I doubt they'd make this trade
Giving up and asset taking on more long term salary considering the health risk Lopez is
You realize they took on Waiters and now are taking on Brook
That's stronger evidence they could spend
As far as Thad goes Cavs gave up the 1st not Minnesota
They did trade Shved and Luc Richard for him though
I think they may trade Jackson to get some future asset back in the end

Harden and Jackson have very little in common. Actually, quite opposites.
OKC probably realizes that at this point and is willing to just get back an asset at this point.
All I'm seeing is perk for thaddeus....if they want an expiring for Thad then let them have Bargnani.

no thanks. Young sucks at his current price. he is a back up big.

Yeah,...I was high on T.young before the season but watching him this year, dude is career bench player.
Would love to get Thad but offering Bargs is like
Trying to get business done on a payphone
It'll get us nowhere, Phil will have to be a little creative
Even to get talents like Thad

But he could be had for Kendrick Perkins according to the rumor. If he can go for perk then he can go for captain goomba

No for one because for Perkins can play, Bargs lips hurt
Two there is about a $3mil dollar difference between what Perk and Bargs makes
Last time Bargs was traded it came with a 5% trade kicker hit
Maybe it was a 1 time thing, I know Jason, J.R., and Melo currently have kickers
Bargs for Thad will not get it done
I think the thunder are the worst managed teams in the sport. They need to figure out how to make their club better. They miss what James Harden did for them and that's facilitate... so they fix it by never getting a facilitator to replace him. They went and got Waiters who wants to shoot more than Lebron and they want brook lopez? Wth are they doing?
They need to move Westbrook off the ball like Monta Ellis. They need a bonfified point guard. They should be trying to identify a pass first guy to facilitate their offense. They don't need to bail the Nets out by trading for lopez. Steve Adams is better for what they are doing.
it's funny in the surface but they really could have great use for Calderon and jason smith.
