Calderon? Come on Big Chief Triangle....work your magic.

that would suck. If he is turning down $13m that won't really help. Although they would have his BRs so they can go over the cap for him. Why am I acting like you are not being sarcastic?
The Cavs are silly and will probably go after Sessions.

It seems to me that teams will only deal with phil if they rape him.
Actually, Calderon for Brendan Hayward's contract and two 2nd rd picks would be awesome.

what is his contract?

What player in the Cavs, within reason, would you ask for in return? The Cavs are running out of assets themselves. JR and Shump are out of the qestion .

Is their a team option on Haywood's deal? He's looking at a nice payment next year.
Prigs seems like the guy in this situation. His contract is much smaller and Cleveland could probably make it work with. Getting a 2nd rounder back would be great.

His second year is not guaranteed at all if he is cut before August. So it can be a trade asset going forward.
http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/...
Haywood is being paid a salary of $2.2 million this season, but next year he has a non-guaranteed income of $10.5 million. It becomes fully guaranteed if he is not waived by the Aug. 1 deadline of 2015.The chances of a team making that type of commitment at this stage of his career are slim to none.
What's attractive about Haywood's deal is next summer his $10.5 million income would apply towards the league's salary-matching requirements, which would allow the Cavaliers, or whichever team has him at that time, to trade Haywood for an impact player making up to approximately $14 million annually.
The team that receives Haywood could release the big man and gain significant cap space equivalent to the $10.5 million figure. There's the value.

Wow. A ten million dollar team option.

so his ridiculous 10 million in 2015-2016 is not guaranteed?
so why do the cavs need to dump him?

ah I see
I just edited my post.
The Cavs are over the cap and will need to make trades to upgrade their roster for this year and going forward. Calderon makes since for them although adding him to a non-defensive team is offensive.

this is what pisses me off. We took a decent player who never misses a shot of offense and we fukked him up just like everyone else, and now we want a buyer for him.
When was the last time the knicks actually raised the trade value of a player.

Idk, they had Hardaway value up but failed to capitalize on it. If only they could have traded shump the 2nd week of the year.lol. Although if the knicks would have traded Shump during his hot streak Guns would have probably had a meeting with phil in a dark alley.
back to the CAvs: Nate Robinson is probably another option for the Cavs.

Zach, Jamal, Lee, W. Chandler, Gallo, Fields, Mozgov, Lin. We don't always take advantage of that value since we mostly just clear cap. Hopefully that begins to change after this season.

Oh man, "the Trade" shooting's going to start in just a few minutes...
btw nix, you forgot Felton (the 1st time trade, not the Dallas deal)...
It's for reasons like this that we should have picked up Wolters. I think we can agree that at least one of Calderon or Prigs is going to be traded as a playoff team looking for a good backup at a low price can certainly get one from us.

do they have any picks left?
