mudiay > ruseel

Think that Winslow or Russell might have been compared to Harden- don't see Mudiay as the same kind of gunner from outside.

Me too, if there's a trade, likely all we get is a player on a bad contract/bad attitude/injury issues, plus a mid round pick who exceeds expectations the first season then slumps back into mediocrity, and we've had enough of both of those to last a lifetime!

Yes, I would be severely disappointed. The Knicks need to swing for the fences and make a pick that can hopefully turn into a longterm young piece or in the best case scenario a star. Gotta swing for the fences. Any trade would leave a bad taste in my mouth. At some point the Knicks have to develop some talent, goddamnit.
http://hoopsanalyst.com/?p=1437Hoop Analyst breaks down Russell and Mudiay
here is a summary:
I find it difficult to pick one over the other when comparing the 2. Both are obviously strong NBA prospects. They’re #1 and #1A when looking at the top PG prospects for 2015. Both come with questions and numbers that are something less than the dominant type future NBA superstars generally post. I would feel comfortable choosing either one at 4 or 5, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up that I was getting another Harden or Curry with either one.
A fan on reddit posted a picture of LMA in a Boston airport. Hmmmmmmmmm I have been saying that i think the Celtics will be the team that has the best off season this year.
i think knicks might pass on mudiay or russell because of the triangle offense
jbeachboy wrote:i think knicks might pass on mudiay or russell because of the triangle offense
i don't know about russell but they might pass on Mudiay because his shot looks "clunky". A lot of people say they love his upside but what if Mudiay was the type of player who should of spent a second or third year in college fixing his shot before he went into the league?
jbeachboy wrote:i think knicks might pass on mudiay or russell because of the triangle offense
I would have agreed with you, but we are also very interested in Payne, so it seems the whole 'triangle doesn't need a dominant pg' thing is overrated. Also remember that back in the day Phil wanted to trade Kobe for Jason Kidd (and other stuff)
cant we get complete footage of some of these workouts so that we can see misses as well?

No, that would only depress us

Mudiay's video from his Lakers workout has him missing a lot. It might be in the Mudiay thread.
do prospects call knicks or do the knicks call the prospects for workouts?
Steve Kyler: Kevon Looney's Pro-Day did not go as expected - so he's picked up some negative baggage as a result but is doing well in workouts Twitter @stevekylerNBA - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.NIqCu6Nl.dpuf

how does that help us?
I don't know if Philly would take Okafor.

they would because it would give them the most trade value. They are not gonna pass on a guy who would be by far the BPA.
Hinkie is a smart guy.

He is going to be an interesting guy to keep an eye on. With the cap expected to increase significantly this maybe the last year he can stockpile picks for cap hits.

I'd assume that their agents would be calling around and getting a feel about where teams stand...trying to get their clients hooked up with teams that are the right fit for their talent.
