Just heard it on the radio, too.
Mike G was in Chicago when Phil was there, so there is a relationship Phil is comfortable with.
Claims that he will ask him a question about the triangle in the NBA, among many other things.

I like when Greenberg talks basketball. I have a hard time listening to him otherwise.

Will be interesting if anything significant comes out in the interview. Maybe you get an idea of his inner thoughts when he analyzes the playoffs.
I don't expect anything groundbreaking.
http://nypost.com/2015/06/18/calipari-to...The good news the knicks scouted Lyles heavily because they were following kentucky most of their season. It might be why they are higher on him than a lot of other teams. The bad news, they might just be higher on him than other teams because his skill set fits the triangle so well.
the lyles love is terrifying...

If the knicks move down to 10 to 15 (hopefully not directly) I am pretty sure he will be the pick. Lyles would be a decent 3rd big from the jump in a role similar to how odom, taj, and diaw have been for their teams.
well hope the draft turns out ok later dudes.
1. May all of your Draft dreams come true. Many of you "Can't wait" until next week and as we know usually the hype is greater than the result. Teams are making potentially 100 million dollar investments in these picks and want to due their diligence!
2. Coach Cal has slithered out from under the rock and hyping his guys in the media. "WCS can be a defensive game changer", "Towns wants to be in Minny!", etc etc. He'll be there in his glory AGAIN at the tables sending his guys off to seek fame and fortune. Its really his night, 4 guys drafted in top 15 picks? How many guys now in the last few years this guy putting out?
3. Even bad draft get interesting the last few days before and then the night of it feels like a waste of time and effort. This year is a good one and knicks are relevant. Im sure we'll read a few more "should lost those last two games...." but falling two spots via lottery was the killer.
4. I hope Van Gundy is not on the broadcast. He is becoming hard to listen too with his pontifications and complaining. Not to say his points are wrong, they are just too dramatic. Its become his "Schtick". I love Barkley cuz he is usually underprepared, inconsistent and playful. Bilas is very good as would Hubie Brown. Hubie is awesome!

Yeah as much as I didn't like Bill simmons on TV throughout the year I actually got use to him during the draft. His "Oh WoW" at certain teams choice of picks felt more like a fan of the sport than a TV analyst. The only real drawback was he was such a celtics homer.
Simmons is exiled for now. Perhaps we get a big done of Jaelen rose. 3 hours of Thibs would not be fun.
if knicks trade down, which player are they getting along with pick?

The rumor I've seen a couple of times is maybe Eric Bledsoe and pick 13 for pick 4. Honestly, I think that's a decent trade. They'd probably take Lyles or Kaminsky at pick 13.
Though I hope they just keep pick 4.

dont really like that trade. Im against trading down but if we did then id want to remain in top 10. Truthfully i havent seen any good trade down proposals. Just keep the pick and get the BPA
lawson, faried, kaminsky, or lawson, lyles, faried
jbeachboy wrote:lawson, faried, kaminsky, or lawson, lyles, faried
I wouldn't be surprised if the knicks took lawson or Faried in a pick swap and then flipped one or the other for a pick in the 12-15 range. I would be surprised if the knicks kept either guy because they would take up space and neither fit the triangle.
jbeachboy wrote:lawson, faried, kaminsky, or lawson, lyles, faried
I really hope this doesn't happen. I think Orlando really wants either Kristaps or Hezonja. If the Knicks feel they have to make a trade take Orlando's targeted player and try to swap for the 5th and another pick.

If you look at their roster and pick situation the Pacers probably aren't a prime trading partner if the knicks trade down. Especially 7 spots.

I was wondering if it was in play if you took Hibbert. He is owed 15 mil for one more year.

4 and 11 if done right could net you two guys that played for the knicks for the next 12 years. A lot of options at 11. Turner, Lyles, Payne, Dekker, Kaminsky, etc. Also, I think if the knicks take Kristaps at 4 they could swap picks with Orlando and grab a pick/asset in the deal if they don't want him.
