This kid can be a special player if he truly put in the time to study the game. He is a legit 6'6" player that can already play at a very high level. However, he is not playing the game as one who is hungry for stardom. He often settles for the three point shot, which in my judgement could be his demise. He can put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket; furthermore, he has a nice array of shots in his repertoire that he can use. If he simply can stop shooting the three ball so much, and be more active without the ball, he will be special.
Defensively, we already know he is horrible, but he has shown some improvements thus far.

Don't give up on a young talent that quickly dude. Give him at least 3 years
quite frankly he needs some time in the D League to make his shot more consistant, learn how to make better choices, and to drive to the rim more
Or if you can find a team that will trade a 1st rounder for him, do it in a heartbeat
Out of 17 shots, he decided to take 8 three pointers, you have to blame that on coaching and poor habits by the young player. He is wayyyyyyh too confident for my taste

I don't really give up, I just make predictions. It looks like I have predicted right with him (so far).

His inconsistency stems from his reliance on the 3 ball. Once he misses his first 5 shots, he drops his shoulders and gives up. If he makes three of his first shots, he is very engage and thinks like an assassin.
i'm done with this punk. i held out hope on that waste of space shumpert for too long, and not doin it again with thj. phil needs to ship him off for whatever.

Fawk you mean? All i see from this dude is athleticism and some wild shooting. JR Smith has talent. Melo has Talent. Amare has talent. Heck, if Galloway can work on his drives I would say he has talent. Thjr has potential to be very talented but is showing little to no signs of getting there.
THJ is cheap and if you truly are about developing players you can't just give up 40+ games into his sophomore season. Drafted players on the Sixers are still being developed why are we so quick to ditch the few guys we draft?
I'm not sayin THJ will turn out to be a success but there's no need to rush a kid on his rookie deal. I doubt anyone gives us a #1 for him either.

Yeah, it's natural for guys to have sophomore slumps. Let's give him more than half the season before we label him a bum. His projections aren't that much worse than Bradley Beal's last year.
He's a one dimensional chucker and doesn't seem to want to change or improve upon his bad habits. That's a huge red flag for me no matter how young or cheap he is. Sure, keep him around and let him play on this clusterfuhuck of a season but I personally don't think he'll amount to much more than a poor mans Nick Young.

If THJ is still here next year and not packaged in a trade with Calderon I do not want to see him starting at SG.

I knew he was a role player coming in and unfortunately you want 3 and D role players. He only plays one way and he does it pretty poorly. Still can be a knockdown shooter on the right squad ala Anthony Morrow but he doesn't have anywhere near the IQ level of a Korver.
If they could use THjr to trade Calderon I would say okay but he is cheap so it doesn't hurt for him to be here. Well sometimes it hurt my eyes watching him but it is what it is.
I think he set a career high in points and tied career highs in ast and rebounds against CHA so that's nice.
Give him a chance.
I do not want to see another JCrawford playing against us after few years.
