Why does Tim Hardaway get three years to suck, but after 40 games you can say with certainy that fisher will never be a good nba head coach?

Fisher may turn out to be a decent coach, and I am willing to give him at least one more season to prove he is worthy. I never asked for the dude to be fired right away. I am simply appalled by his performance as a coach thus far. Specifically, his approach to defense and his lineup changes

Fishmike, I am fair and impartial. Unlike most around here, I don't just criticize and propose to fire or trade

After last night game THJ said the following "I don't actually feel that I played a complete game; I have to get better on defense; rebound better, and play within the system." He further stated "I have to watch films to see what I did wrong, and use them as lesson learned." That says a lot about this young dude; in my opinion. If he can study his game and correct his mistakes, he will be a much better player.

I agree.....I want to see him take less 3s and work more inside of the arc.

What is wrong with what I said. Why isn't it credible? Typical hate on Knicks players look at Thompson before this season. Why wouldn't anyone say that THJ's trajectory is that far off from Thompson's. Sure he may not have a once in a life time out burst but than it was record setting wasn't it not even the past greats have had that.

I'll stand by my statement that THJ is every bit as good as Klay Thompson.

I've noticed that they have picked up the intensity on Defense. They have also double teamed guys in the corner or played in a way which would force them there which has for the most part worked out well for them.

He might simply has an ego issue. His pap is now a coach, he might value his counseling a little more now that he is in the league

I don't know who got through to him, but he has been averaging 3 assists, 4 rebounds, and 14 points per game. He needs guys like Carmelo to set up good example for him to follow, and a coach that can get on his face when he steps out of line. Clyde Frazier must have had a talk with Phil or Fisher regarding how to approach THJ, because I can see a huge difference on how fisher is dealing with him now.

Yeah, but that's not consistent enough for me. He needs a coach like thibs, or pop, and a team full of vets, he's development will be at a snails pace on a team like the knicks have, especially with no leadership

THJ was not drafted by Phil, so I can understand his sentiment about this proposal. Phil may not think he fits what he fits the triangle

Then hell no:) he is a talent that can be coached or molded into a special package. We just need to be tough and patient with him

No doubt his mindset have to change when he see D-league fillers and 10-day end-of-bench players put a much better performance in all aspects of the game that he.
One thing you suck comparing to Carmelo... another thing you suck comparing to Galloway or Thomas...
It will be good test for him moving forward.
