personally, I'll be pretty disappointed. We haven't had a chance to draft a franchise changing talent since we traded our picks to Chicago for Eddy Curry and won likewise meaningless games to drop out of being able to grab Stephen Curry.
I love Langston, Lance & Amundsen. Cole, Acy & Smith.
They remind me of the Knicks I started to first follow- when Bernard went down and Hubie was the coach. Rory Sparrow, Darryl Walker. Louis Orr. Pat Cummings. Ken the Animal Bannister. Press & trap. Outgunned every game, but not out hearted.
so on the one hand, you have a ton of fans who bitch and moan that no one wants to come to a 10win team in free-agency and then when they win games, the others bitch that it is screwing up lotto position. is there anyway that the knicks can win?
We wouldve been in last overall place if we didnt win as Minnesota and Philly both won.
We still have a huge cushion and there will come a time when Melo goes down for the recovery he will need. He looked like he tweaked that knee tonight.
For years i have hated the way the knicks throw away draft picks for crap. This year i hated losing BUT the silver lining was we would get a top pick which would help us get better faster. Predictably the knicks will have a decent second half and pick 10 lol oh the pain
Nothing to worry about. Knicks, Sixers and Wolves are hands down the worst three teams.
The top pick has hardly gone to the absolute worst team historically speaking.
I actually feel better about being the 2nd or 3rd worst for some reason.

lakers lost kobe so they arent too far away
Remember during this streak weve beat NO without Davis OKC without Durant Philly and Orlando in close one's. Anthony wont play tomorrow and my bet is after the AS break Anthony will pack it in.

I think you are right but Anthony looked spry tonight.

Not in the last minute--that grimace was back.

this is a catch 22. On the bright side, we see the system works. Team ball works. And when Melo doesn't force things, he is efficient.
But, which method gets us more talent, FA or the draft? I'd argue the draft has more potential for a franchise changing talent. There isn't that kind of player available in FA this year.
I think it's just hard to expect a team not to try and win if they can. This group of guys are hungry and playing for a chance to stay so it's not all bad if they win a few games. I actually think this team will still be in position for the most ping pong balls or at the least a top 5 pick. In this draft we're safe if we can be in that range. The Jets wins were stupid because they don't have a lottery and exactly where you end up is where you'll pick. Now that was a big deal. With the Knicks there's no guarantee of where you will end up.

im fine winning once in a while because the worst record rarely wins the lottery. I just have a bad feeling we will win more and end up picking 8—10

I watched the first half of Lakers yesterday- up big and I see they lost.
We could end up dropping out of the top 3/4 spots.

i fully expect it because nothing good happens to us lol
we still have a 3 game cushion on the lakers and about 5 on the magic, kings, indiana and jazz.... if melo goes down i have absolute confidence that we won't be better than any of these teams BUT...
if we go on a streak before the all star break and we get muddled into those pack of teams make no mistake it would be disastrous and we could conceivably be looking at the 10th pick all of a sudden... i don't care how good an occasional win feels.... if that happens.. that will set the franchise back by another 5 years... .

agreed especially if we strike out in free agency. Remember back in 2010 everyone was so sure we would land lebron and wade. We ended up overpaying 1 good year of amare and giving away all our assets for melo. My point is if you have a oppurtunity at a lottery pick its better than a few extra wins

Somehow I get the idea that if the Knicks start looking too good that there will be a sudden mystery injury requiring some rest or surgery.
add the pistons to the discussion who are reeling after jenning's injury.... there's going to be alot of shitty basketball towards the end of the year... i just hope we get in a lot of losses now before that...
If we're going to win at all this season, now is the best time as it's just before the trade deadline. Hopefully wins will slightly plumpen the value of the players we are wanting to trade (Tim Jr, Prigs, Calderon)
The Knicks are making the playoffs

Some of the Knick fans on this forum are like females. Always b1tching about something.
