http://nypost.com/2015/02/06/stoudemire-...Stat is turning into a drama queen attention whore and should move on. Thanks for the great and memorable 1/2 of a season and saving the metro area from random fire extinguisher attacks.
Now go away.
I don't get a drama queen from the article. It's just a writer trying to build a story out of a few comments. There isn't much else going on with the Knicks right now. It's not STAT's fault that he has bad knees. Just bad luck. We'll be moving on soon enough.
I hate that dude with a passion. I get nauseated reading about him. He wants to regain his old dominant self? Dude please. When were you ever dominant?
My only issue with Stat has been him building up his own hype. It's the media too, but Stat saying things like "i feel 19 again" and "it's all back" is just a joke. He's an injury prone player passed his prime who can be effective in limited minutes because of his scoring, but all of his comments indicate he will never accept that. He wants to come across as a player fully recovered and capable of averaging 23-10 again like he did before the age of 30. Because he will never accept what he is, i am hoping we part ways with him. I am sick of hearing those types of comments and trying to provide false hope. In addition, he is the type of player to have a couple breakout games here and there, and get us 1 or 2 wins that are meaningless.
Stat is the one talking about getting back to his dominant self. Minutes restriction for a role player off the bench? Can lance thomas get a day off to preserve his career too? Why not? Amare can....
you wanna talk culture change? How about all players equal. No babies.... Bargs and amare need to go asap.
Sure tell him to take 3mm less in a buyout. If he says no send him home anyway without waiving him

It is not a culture change until Amare and Bargnani are off of this team. I can't believe some fans around here; they really don't know what the hell they want.

Pretty much everyone is done with Amare and Bargs. It's probably the one thing all are in agreement about here.
I am not high on Stat, but I don't blame him for wanting off the team if we're not signing him and basically going to tank the rest of the way. He's not getting a big deal with any tea, next season, so he wants to join a contender in hopes of snagging a chip on someone's coattails. Can't fault him for that.
But yea, good riddance to an effing albatross contract.

Dude chill out and have a drink, we have much bigger issue than Amare.. and yes he was dominate, try 5 time all star dominate, you can count on one hand the current players in the league that have been all stars 5 times.
So stop worrying About Stat and worry about the overall direction of this ever so sinking ship, which continues to make dumb move after dumb move.
How can you hate a dude because he has health issues, especially knee issues that can't be avoided in almost all cases. Hate MDA for running his ass into the ground for 46 minutes a night

Amare needs to thank Nash for his all star selections. He can't create for himself, can't defend for shizznit, and never look to pass the ball. Until he is off of this roster, I will continue to worry that Phil or Fisher might offer this dumb player a contract or more playing time. Injury or not, this dude's game was never appealing to me. Mcdyess was a fantastic talent who went through similar injuries. I would offer a contract right now to Mcdyess who has been retired for more the. 10 years over Amare
Was is the keyword...Amare was the man. Now the dude is done. He needs to be treated the same way any player that can't get on the court. He needs to be waived.
if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle. That pretty much sums up what I think about this guy

thats the same way i feel about fisher, if you lose 60+ games in a season you should be fired

I disagree. Fisher is a rookie coach, he deserves at least one more year
Is it really his decision? The guy was great for a brief time here but it seems like it is always about him despite his inability to play anymore.

He gets a pass since jr smith and shump gave up on him. Not to Mendon Bargs played one game and amare plays whenever his mangina isn't dirty. He has a team full of healthy rule players...aka a lottery team. FYI if he had this current group at the beginning I bet we'd be in the mix for the last 2 playoff spots. So yeah this season gets an asterisk.
So rumor has it that the Mavericks are prepared to move on STAT if and when the Knicks waive him. Looks like they're also interested in Jermaine O'Neal too and plan to make roster moves to facilitate signing both players.

Could mean 6'10" PF Dwight Powell might become available. You get the feeling Cuban is looking to tack on more veteran help up front and Powell could be the fall guy. If so, I'd jump all over that kid if I were Phil (provided we decide to cut the cord with STAT). Young, quick/agile PF with size and skill. Could be a nice building block for us.
If Phil is even aware of Powell and did like him let's say -- I might actually call up Cubes and say look, if you agree to waive Powell then we'll waive STAT. Even give Cubes permission to talk to Stoudemire before hand. Probably illegal to pre-arrange simultaneous roster moves like that, but who cares, honestly? Who needs to know? Keep it all on the QT...If he doesn't agree to waive Powell, so be it. We don't have to waive STAT unless an opportunity out there presents itself. How bad does Cuban want to add STAT?
STAT may not play tonight. No real reason given. I guess on account of the back to back but the man just had like 20 games off, no?? “We’ll see about the game,” Stoudemire told MSG’s Tina Cervasio following Friday’s 92-88 loss at Brooklyn. Jeez, don't hurt yourself buddy...

Wonder if a buyout really is looming.
Like Briggs said if the cat isn't giving back money to be released, then let him sit on the bench till his contact is up.
