thats right I forgot about Dumars but they drafted Darko so Larry must've been onboard at first then soured on him shortly after seeing him play

I thought Larry was on board with Darko. He just refused to play him until he learned to play inside like a true center.

I hope the Knicks don't make the mistake and draft Mudiay with a lotto pick. With all of the known talent we will have available, if we have a top pick,we will have to pull the trigger on the right guy. Okafor, Russel, the two bigs from Kentucky should be who we look to select. If we end up with a higher pick then 1-4, we MUST look to move it to a team with multiple picks in the first round. Let me remind you all that we have no other picks after this draft.

this draft pick will be very important to our future because we have no first rounder next year and we dont know how we will do in free agency. If recent knick history tells us anything the knicks will screw up somehow lol.

Agree.....if we end up with #5 or higher, we are to move it for multiple higher picks. The heck with drafting a "not so sure" prospect.

Russell seems to be the type of player that would shine in a more modern offense.

exactly

What does that even mean?

PnR / Spread Offense.

Modern? The pick and role is the oldest play in basketball. "Spread" meaning "kick it out to your center so he can hit a three" is over blown. Hitting the open man for an open jumper is basic basketball.

Too much emphasis is being put into the triangle offense. These bum knicks are running it well now. Knicks just need to sign guys that will continue to fill that mold. D'Angelo Russell is a basketball player more than just a point guard. I think the kid would flourish in the triangle. Everything he excels in is what can be amplified in this offense. The pick and roll is very much a part of the triangle anyway. So is kicking it out for open jumpers. So this modern offense doesn't exist. It's basketball not rocket science.

Couldn't agree with you more....
