lol you are lost. two 2nd round picks for prigionni is a good trade. the dude is almost 40 and isn't playing for us. two 2nd rounders is a great trade, you're the one who's lost.
Yeah, and the whole point was to get out of JR's contract. He wasn't an asset to be included to get out of someone else's bad contract like Calderon's. He was the bad contract!
agreed bonny. gotta figure most GM's viewed jr's contract as absolute poison.. except for lebron. we did the best we could with that deal.

really? shved came into the draft pretty highly touted as an international. that is a hell of a deal for prigioni.

JR and Shum are role players to a trio of allstars and a decent supporting cast. On the knicks they were cornerstones of the worst record in basketball.
Jr is a mental midget and shump is a free agent to be.
I think 58 year old Priggy for two 2nd round picks is pretty good. He was a free agent and did well for us. 2nd round picks can turn into good picks you stash euro's in and hope they evolve. Sometimes they do, sometimes not. Create more opportunities. Whose picks are they?

The craziest thing is we didn't get hosed by Morey again!

Instead jr, and shump are helping the cavs shoot to the top of the standing, while calderon is helping the knicks plummet to historic lows, only there's no EWING, Hakeem, duncun, labron, KD, waiting to be drafted
dude you do realize the only way to get rid of jr smith was to attach an asset. Tyson was coming off a terrible year and his value was way down

I'm shocked he could get anything for Prigs - solid vet - but two second rounders.
Must be a catch?
Great deal - no matter when the 2nd rounders are.
I agree, we have traded away, and are short, a lot of second rounders for the next few years. This was a good move to get some of them back.

did the Knicks get the Picks? Are they protected? I want actual picks.
blkexec@ 2/19/2015 3:44 PM
Knicks got a shooting guard on his 3rd team of year - who is shooting career high 39 percent - 30 percent from 3. It may be an upgrade. LMAO http://hoopshype.com/twitter/media.html

The point of the trade was the picks- who cares?
Also, lost in all these deals is the Rockets got KJ McDaniels- he looks like he has a lot of upside, very athletic and good defender

he set up a lot of long 2pt jumpers for his teammates. Phil will love him.

this is actually a very solid move. Remember Prigs was signed next year. Granted $1.7mm off the cap isnt anything epic, but its that much more space and we get 2 picks back, so they turned a guy who was not part of the future at all and wasnt playing into more cap space and a couple 2nd rounders. Who knows, maybe Svedoosh plays really well here. Either way they helped themselves a bit.

only $300,000 was guaranteed for Pablo. but I agree, this move is better than nothing. take a look at Shved. 2nd round picks could be trade fodder or decent role players. Pablo was done here.
