But, look at all the good Jimmie does/is involved with/is partially responsible for! Sure, it's written by an ex-MSG minion, but hey...um it's got to count for something, right?

I guess Dolan does nice work for the community. I wasn't aware of that but am glad to see it. I think the biggest favor he could do for the community would be to focus on that community service 100% of the time and sell the Knicks to someone more competent (which basically means anyone with a pulse).

Can't believe he left out how Jimmy is a musical genuis who brings joy to his fans across the globe.
jrodmc @ 2/26/2015 11:21 AM
That was implied by his support of the Katrina & Sandy benefit concerts and the millions they raised. Read things a little closer.

People confuse Dolan as being a bad person because hes a bad owner. Dolan is a micro manager without having basketball management talent. Hes a businessman first...a musician second....and basketball is somewhere in his top ten. This is the very 1st time hes giving up management control in his ownership tenure. If that doesnt excite knick fans then your too young to remember the pain fans had to deal with during the Dolan error. For me it started with giving a 1 dimensional player a 100mil. 10yrs later he did it again. ...lol....go figure!

You don't have the power to takeaway nixluva's job! I tried, believe me, and they won't even give me free parking at the practice facility!

jrod--you must be Dolan himself. No other human would post this and then post in it three times but the actual person himself. Boy you are 1 insecure dude

DrAlphaeus @ 2/26/2015 2:29 PM
I saw this article and was going to post it in the Optimism Only thread. It would literally be the only way I could participate in that thread.

Thanks for nothing, jrod.

what evidence do you have that he is a good person? what deeds or acts has he performed? seems like you will know a person by the fruits of his labors. that's a different statement than knowing a person by where he puts his money, and what percentage of it he puts towards certain things like charities and whatnot.

BRIGGS, I respect you man, and I know the record and the "garbage" is hard to digest, but you seroulsy have absolutely zero sense of humor at this point.
It's just pro basketball dude. Lighten up.

Most of them all make millions and sleep soundly at night. The ones who don't are getting paid to practice and play sports. A nice gig, really.

And exactly what has the apostle dk7th done about pancreatic cancer lately? Or ever? You've gone down and filled alot of sandbags for Katrina and rebuilt someone's house for free after Sandy, have you?

Jeez dude, we're not even talking about MeloTheDevil here. Give it a break.

Most of the people are multi-dimensional.
They are good at some things and terrible at other things.
They do good and do bad.
Dolan had specific understanding on what pro bbal organization should be and how people on this organization should act.
And he has a power to enforce it. We see the professional and human result of it and judge it by facts.
He also has specific understanding of his responsibility to use his wealth to help people in need and and society in general.
And we see this and judge it by the facts.
He is a good philanthropist and terrible pro sport organization owner.
No hate, just facts.

read more carefully chowderhead. i said that acts or deeds of an individual is one thing, while how one spends ones money-- and most significantly in what proportion to ones overall wealth-- is another.
