Knicks · Good knick fans, Doesn't bother you? our Knicks era teams NO good during prime of current nba superstars past 11-12yrs. (page 1)

DJMUSIC @ 2/26/2015 10:55 PM
Returning..hellos, sadly been tough 2-3 weeks after the passing of my mom 2/3/15.

The fact is the LeBron James, Kevin Durant, T.Parker, Dwade,
Step Curry/K.Thompson splash brothers, Westbrook, Dirk, Dwight D.,
James beard Harden, Russ Westbrook, Aldridge, John Wall,

Era of stars
Go back a bit, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, J.Kidd, P.Pierce, Ray Allen and on and on this past decade+
Of past NBA stars and present stars our NY knickerbockers roster teams has Been pretty bad squads
throughout prime time of many superstars since about 2001-2003.

Throw out 1 good Carmelo Anthony year 54 wins and throw out years Tim Duncan came in as rookie won
Title vs. KNICKERBOCKERS Pat Ewing, Larry Johnson teams nearly 20 years ago our knickerbockers
Has been its worst during the post Michael Jordan and stars Kobe (old) and Lebron (new) era breeds

Its sad and pisses DJ off we have had squat to show while the games best NBA players were born into league since yr. 2000

Should bother any true blue knickerbockers fans
We stunk when stars were great!

Sorry about your mother. Lost my younger sister (52) in August and had some other loses. Takes a lot out of you.

Have to keep an eye on your father (if still alive) after this kind of loss.

On an infinitely less important topic...

All of the stars you mention, except Harden, I suppose, became stars with the teams who drafted them. The Knicks have either drafted poorly, unluckily, or used its picks as trade fodder.

Splat @ 2/27/2015 12:24 AM
Sorry about your mom.
VCoug @ 2/27/2015 7:33 AM
Sorry about your Mom, I hope you and your family are getting by ok.
GustavBahler @ 2/27/2015 7:36 AM
My condolences on the loss of your mother DJ.
Moonangie @ 2/27/2015 8:40 AM
Hey DJ, sorry 'bout your Mom. Tough to lose a parent. Hope you had a chance to say your goodbyes and what not.
fishmike @ 2/27/2015 8:56 AM
DJ... welcome back and sorry for your loss mate
SupremeCommander @ 2/27/2015 9:00 AM
yes it bothers me... but this team kept selling its future to get better in the present when the present situation was never that good. So yes it bothers me. It bothers me a great deal, especially when management always does what it can to save their own ass and then Jimmy finally pulls the plug only now the cupboard is completely bare. Now we have to sign a FA that isn't good enough to stay with his old team at a massive contract.

Sorry hear about your loss. Keep on keepin on.

Bonn1997 @ 2/27/2015 9:08 AM
Sorry to hear about your loss.
Yeah, our team's past bothers everyone here except JRod
arkrud @ 2/27/2015 9:35 AM
My condolences...

Its NY... the place where bureaucracy runs amok and runs the show.
No substance, just perception and pretending. Make your money and run attitude.
This is not Dolan... this is culture.
Who needs greatness? People need bread and butter for themselves and their cronies.
Greatness cannot be bought - it must be earn. Who has time for this in Big City?

really sorry about your mother, its a really tough situation to go through. Tough being a knick fan the past 15 years. I took the 90s knicks for granted which i now regret

gunsnewing @ 2/27/2015 11:24 AM
Sorry about your mom DJ. At least she's not sick and suffering. You get to hold onto all the memories and maybe be with her again on day
DrAlphaeus @ 2/27/2015 11:29 AM
My condolences as well to you and your family DJ, and you too Walt.

One all-time NBA record we claim that is humbling is our 13-game, 11-year playoff losing streak from 2001-2012.

Cartman718 @ 2/27/2015 12:32 PM
RIP MamaMusic.
Hopefully, Phil Jackson can change the culture.... hasn't happened in year 1.

Welcome back DJ and sorry to hear about your Mom's passing.

Yes I am one of those guys that doesn't like to dwell on the past. It's painful just thinking about past playoff losses. Can't watch the replay of the 93 ECF's game 5. Charles Smith not being able to score that basket (freakin Dunk that ish) or get a foul call. Of course the Finals loss to Houston was brutal for me. In any event I try to let all of it go and only focus on the now and the future. I could care less what we did last year or the year before. Right now i'm focused on the development of players the rest of the season and then the draft and Free Agency. That's it.

its not about dwelling on the past its about being realistic. I know you are very optimistic and i urge you to remain like that because i do think its important. However its also ok to be a little critical as well because it shows you want the knicks to learn from their many mistakes

Sorry about your mom!

About past regression, I won't go there. Its bad enough to live it but I repel against those comments that must revisit with the air of superiority to lay blame without the consideration of the actual decision as it was laid out.

one cannot rewrite what has happened.

Thanks all ..sincerely
For sentiments support, much appreciated

Nalod I hear ya,
But as though knickerbockers seem to be going in 1 correct direction of drafting n keeping picks options,
Also $$ to spend I would like to have respect one day in NBA league stars.. we never was there in midst
Of these champion guys and teams.

Thus it stings a bit we can never ever say we competed with elite stars H...other than being
Bad when league was very good after Jordan. Hopefully Phil plans gets us respect..in short future

DJ so sorry to hear about your loss. Lost my sister in 2013. She was in hospice at Calvary Hospital and the care was amazing. I have the opportunity to give to hospice I do. Time helps. Holidays and birthdays suck. Hopefully the Knicks start winning.
