I'm gonna watch a bit of rhe 1992 1st round series vs The Pistons.
That was a great series & I always liked when Mason went against other bruiser.

Rest in Peace, Anthony.

Feel like a cousin died. Dude was new York and he was orange and blue. Ironic someone with so much heart would die of a heart attack.

Respect every time to our brother Mase.

gunsnewing @ 2/28/2015 9:46 AM
Yea that is ironic

Very sad news, thought he was going to pull through. Mase helped give this team an edge that we haven't had since. I remember how Marv and Andreise were amazed how Mason came from playing in Turkey to the NBA. Not as common back then as it is today. He kept working at his game until he made it, no matter what it took. Rest in Peace Mase.

Wow..Mase is gone...Mase symbolized the grit and toughness that was Knick basketball...The NBA had to change the rules...People complained of the style but was pure poetry to me...Mase, I not only miss you now, but been missing you for almost 20 years...The Knicks haven't been the same since you left..RIP brother and see u in Knick heaven!!!

Mr Spock and Mase in 2 straight days.

My dad died when I was 8 and then I didnt really have to deal with death for a long time. Then the Internet comes and we hear who dies every single day--worse the guys we grow up idolizing(Im 46) are starting to drop one by one. I remmeber Dennis Johnson died a few years back and I couldnt ebleiev it. I guess the day you pas 45 its like Russian Roulette and all you can do is try to live healthy and happy the best you can. Sad that somehow humans couldnt live 200-300 years--some day they will--one thing u realize there is just not enough time in life.

Very sad. RIP Mase.

This was a guy that embodied the spirit of a NY player. I remember going up to 165th St Mall and getting his autograph on a Photo like it was yesterday. Back then he was so popular and the lines were so long. I must say that I had some health issues a few years back and I changed my life and started getting back to playing ball for exercise and eating a heart healthy diet. I'm 49 and it does scare me since my grandfather died at 49. This is a serious issue and we have to take it more serious. It's not worth it to just eat poorly and not take it seriously.

I don't know if Mase was just unlucky or was like most of us and didn't take heart health seriously, but it's a huge loss either way. Sometimes you just can't avoid something like this. I can't imagine the pain his family is feeling. He went way too soon.

Versatile. Left handed. Rugged and raw, yet skilled enough to defend every position on the court. Before Anthony Mason, we rarely used the term point forward. Like Monk, he played from his soul, with original phrasing. Gone too young at 48.
Vmart @ 2/28/2015 11:14 AM
Sad to hear the news. RIP
fitzfarm @ 2/28/2015 11:19 AM
