Knicks · Mudiay Porzingis and Hezonja (page 1)

I think of the three foreign players that I have seen--I would place Mudiay in 3rd place now. Its obvious that Hezonga has a much better jumpshot and actually looks more athletic than Mudiay and Porzingis has a higher ceiling and better fit for the triangle offense as a 7-1 F with a mid ranged jump shot.

Mudiay finished off his season in China today--his numbers makes it look like he needs a lot of work on his J.

Mudiay will be the second pick he is that good. Your looking at pg that is 6-5 has great athleticism along with very good court vision and awareness.
Allanfan20 @ 3/3/2015 2:22 PM
That's what his scouting report says. If he is only 18 though then you have to give him that benefit but damn, that's way too young for my taste.

Did Mud defend in China? His offensive skill set is incomplete for a pick that high, but that can be balanced by defense. If his athleticism (which is reported to be elite) translates into a top flight defender he will be a top pick.

Workouts often show this... it will be interesting who is willing to workout against who. In the past we have seen top prospect held out of workouts by their agents, or given "showcase" type workouts that keep them from being exposed.

I'm looking forward to the workouts. Real height measurements will tell a lot.

If that helps us get Okafor or Towns--Im all for it!

TPercy @ 3/3/2015 4:40 PM
Its China, don't really think he will be all that.

Id take him or Russell. They will both make your team better.

There is a strong possibility that the Knicks take Mudiay. I see a slasher that play SG and fit into a Kobe type player if needed. Versatility which helps cover to position.

Favorites for Knicks to grab!

D'Angelo Russell - PG
Or Emmanuel Mudiay - PG
Alexis Ajinca - C
DeMarre Carroll - SG or
Tobias Harris - SF
Mario Hezonja - 6'8 SG/SF

the euro guys are pretty overrated.... it's like there's some rule that there needs to be a euro 'star' or two in the lottery...
StarksEwing1 @ 3/3/2015 8:50 PM
I agree dont trust drafting a euro in top 5

Remember Macjej Lampe, or whatever the hell his name was?

Wonder whatever happened to him?

I'll take the 'Chinese' kid. looks like he has some balls.

It's a pro league. I would assume it's better or similar to playing a team in the SEC

I read where a scout said the level of competition in China is slightly higher than the d league.

The Chinese league sucks. It doesn't produce NBA players the way the Euro leagues do and China's always terrible in international competition.

Isn't the title of this thread a Ukrainian dish on the menu at Veslka?
