Kid put up 16pts...
there's still 3:00 left in the 1st half
The stupid shit about it is the team is not even looking for him. That's what kills me about today's players. Feed your boy! He has it rolling. No they would rather force things. It's annoying
Forgot it started at 7. Will try to watch the second half.
5 assists...usual good shooting from the 3.
No foul shots. Has he shown any of the post moves he made in the last game?
Does Minnesota have anyone who can play him?
Just saw a poor move in the post- had his shot blocked.
He did a little of everything. I changed the channel because his team seemed to forget he was on the court and stopped passing him the ball.
I'm watching Arkansas now trying to check out bobby portis
Out of anyone in college basketball this year FRank Kaminsky is by far the best player to watch. He can shoot from 3 to the hoop--he can pass handle rebound knows all the fakes great footwork works on D. How many 7 footers in college get 7 assists in 1 game? I mean this guy did 23-7-7. If NO somehow can move in for a draft pick high enough--they could dump Andersen and insert Kaminsky and I think thye d be much better off. I think a combo of Davis Kaminsky would be really tough.
hes a nice player. he put on a show against the immortal university of minnesota frontline. lol.
with that said, i think he should have a "nice" nba career. is he a lottery pick? perhaps - since this class is so week. but i dont see ALL STAR FRANCHISE player potential
his story is why he is so good. apparently he was quite capable at guard and then went on an epic growth spurt in high school. he is extremely polished but lacks athleticism. that is a red flag for the next level but I do think he'll be good and I hope the team makes a move to get him should he fall in the draft

If hes not a lottery pick I give up trying to give my opinion on drafts.

He's a senior... the trend is underclassmen get drafted first. I am not hating on Kaminsky because I think he's great and I want to bet on Wisconsin to win the NCAA. That said, HE IS A SENIOR
What do people define as athletic? Because I personally think this kid is quite nimble and agile for his size. No, he isn't going to beat anyone in a foot race and no, he's not jumping out of the gym on anybody but is this guy any different than the tons of white players people dismiss based on athleticism? I'm looking at Spencer Hawes and I don't see Kaminsky having anything less to work with in that department. The same guys for Tyler Zeller (who is proving himself in Boston), and Pau Gasol yet you see them all having an impact in the NBA. In the triangle, which emphasizes half-court play, I think he'd be a more than capable player.

He's also 7 feet tall and HIGHLY skilled. How many highly skilled 7 footers in this draft?
I like kaminsky but id rather have russell towns okafor or mudiday especially since we will pick in top 4

I would take Kaminsky, a pick and a solid guard.....for Russell's high draft value pick.

NO NO... If I can get OK4 or Russell you dont trade out of those spots. Kaminsky is a nice player but he's going to be role player... a nice piece. Russell I project to be a top player in the league. Obviously anything can happen but Im not passing on my chance to draft a cornerstone star for the next 10+
I would agree if we picked 3 or lower, but I would have to be blown away to trade down pask OK4/Russell.

agree ... no way we trade one of these guys.

then youre reaching bigtime. The knicks will pick between 1-4 and Kaminsky is not in that draft range. Kaminsky is more mid round

I like Towns. Guns is convinced I hate him or hate on him. I have him #3 for a few simple reasons. He hasnt shown dominance on a consistant basis. Surely some of it is level of competition but he doesnt stay engaged. Really it just comes down to him being hard to eval because we havent seen what he would do if he was the focus for any stretch of time. OK4/Russell are 19 year olds who are toying with their competition. Towns has all the skills and potential to be great but that hasnt translated to the stat sheet yet. That could certainly change but thats where I stand.
I would ask this: Whats the skill Towns shows that your 100% sure he can do in the NBA? You know OK4 will be a bigtime scorer in the paint from day one. You know Russell can really do it all... a Ginobili/Roy/Harden type. What is Town bringing to the table on day 1? I would like to say a guy I take in the top 3 has one clear NBA skill. What's Towns?

I agree with everybody...I'm just trying to fill holes. Russell or Towns or OK4 is one potential hole filled. Key word is potential.
Kaminsky is a potential hole fill (same potential as anybody else in the draft to me).....Everybody has a chance to be a bust. I don't see any Lebrons, Jordans, Wilt, Kareem.....So there are no sure picks.
But if I can get Kaminsky / Stein.....with a solid veteran PG and a pick for Towns or Russell....I would pull the trigger an that.
Everything is a gamble....I rather have multiple players to gamble on than one player. I just don't think this draft is as strong as everybody things. But it's filled with solid role players, so why not get a few of them.
Stein and Johnson plus a future pick or vet
Kaminsky and Winslow plus a future pick or vet
I'm not a trade wizard, but if you can turn a high pick into multiple picks, I would do it in this draft. All of these guys to me or risks. So I rather not bank the future of the knicks on 1 player, especially since we don't have a pick the following year! If we did, then I'm ok with just 1 pick.
For example....I think Stein might be just as good as Towns. That's the risk. Winslow and Johnson might turn out to have similar careers. Same with Russell and whoever else is right below him.
I believe Phils thinking is to maximize his assets / picks. He only has a small window to do this, so he should always look for that 1 for 2 deal. Turn 1 asset into multiple assets.....
Rams got a haul in RG III trade......Remember that draft day trade. That's what we need to do. Hype up Towns, Russell, OK4.....and wait until some dumb GM gives you multiple assets for that one asset. The more hype these top guys get, the better.
http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_...
For example.....what if you can get Winslow and Stein for Russell (just thinking out of the box). I think Winslow and Stein have the same ceiling as Russell. So if I believe or trust my ranking, why wouldn't I do a trade like that? If somebody really wants Russell or OK4 or Towns.....They will give up the house! It's time we get on the receiving end of these bone head trades for once.....Boston got what 5 picks? They not using all of those picks.....Boston is always looking for a multi team trade to bring that championship back like they did with Garnet and company. Take advantage of those pipe dreaming GM's.
that might be ok but these guys are not overhyped prospects... i've said this in multiple spots... ok4 by all objective measures is probably the 3rd best prospect but he is also every bit equal to or greater than the prospect blake griffin was...

I hear you, but I refuse to fall into this hype every year, just to be let down. Every draft is the best draft with the best players in NBA history. Every draft is grossly overrated. And every year, I fall into the same trap. Fool me once, fool be twice....But you can't fool me thwice.
I think OK4 might be a beast.....I was down on him at first, but I think he has the character and leadership to improve and get better. You can see that now. These other guys are pure potential, and it's anybody's guess how they will turn out.
