That dude is flat out balling. He is playing at such a high level right now; specifically, since after the Kanter trade, it is unbelievable. That dude is putting up a triple double each time he steps on the floor; no one should be complaining about his game. He is making those around him better, and tha is all one can ask of this dude
30/17/11. Insane numbers.
he's legit... I saw Kobe Bryant say that Westbrook reminds Kobe of himself -- not in terms of his game -- but rather how he approaches the game and with how competitive he is. Forget the numbers, that trait in itself is awesome. Add the numbers to the equation and wow
He is proving us wrong and he really needed to. He has gone to a different level.
still don't like him but he has played mvp basketball recently.

That describes either a great performance on the basketball court or a woman with a very small waist and stick legs.
I don't think he had any haters - just people saying he needed to improve his decision making.
He has been impressive lately. Individually an amazing feat this season, and worthy of strong MVP consideration.
That said, I am not sure he has the intangible qualities that Kobe has (i.e., leadership, raising all boats, demanding accountability from teammates, etc.)
But wow, it's something to behold.

Almost a quadruple double the other day- had 9 turnovers.
When he is on his game, the only player who can stop Russell Westbrook on the court is Russell Westbrook.
Will there ever be a "he goes or I go" showdown with Westbrook and Durant, or are they on good terms?
I know a few teams who could benefit from this breakup...

I am praying that he asks to be traded to NY. I love the way the dude plays the game. He now has a lot better talents around him, and it shows. He trusts his teammates

Yes he does; people always criticize the dude for shooting too much. Never the same criticism of Durant:)

Westbrook is a point guard so technically he does shoot too much for the position.... but he's becoming an enigma. He's doing legendary type stuff right now. I don't think anybody is hating in the dude like that

To be honest, Westbrook's supporting cast has not been that good. Other then Ibaka and Durant he really has not had anyone he could give to ball to and score. The addition of Kantor and Waiters have helped his game to look a lot of more of a playmaker. Other then his teammates now converting when he passes them the ball, he really is not doing anything different then what he used to do.

I've seen both guys take questionable shots over the years.
In Durant's defense, he has generally been a more efficient shooter, especially 3pt shots.
Westbrook is shooting under 29% from 3pt, and, lets face it, when you take and miss a lot of 3s while having Westbrook's ability to get to the basket, pull up for a shorter midrange shot, or drive and dish off at will, people are going to be questioning your judgment on shot selection.
Maybe Westbrook needs to do some more national commercials portraying him as a fun loving and decent guy.

He didn't ask about critics. He asked about haters.

Westbrook is classified as a passing PG....
Durrant is a classified as a Scoring Forward....
Just curious, is that your birth year 1969?

In sports, I believe the two terms are analogous.

I think he confused CP3 for Westbrook

Yes.....thats what PG's do.....PASS.
And thats why I've said this a long time ago.....The PG position is becoming extinct. In about 10 years or so, that position will no longer exist. The league will only have two positions....GUARDS AND FOWARDS.
Once you classify Westbrook as a PG, he will have haters. If he was classified as a SG, he wouldn't have as many haters.

Does that mean you can't be critical of a player you like??!!
I suppose that the age of Self-Esteem has made it difficult to be critical without being seen as a hater, and younger people today don't seem to take criticism too well. If you sat down and talked to him about his game, I'm sure he would go over a number of things he would want to improve.
The guy is a great player with a few flaws... no other way to put it, and when you are comparing MVP quality players, folks tend to bring up the negatives at times.
