Post whatever you love about Melo in this thread. It is your opportunity to focus on the positives and share your insights.

This is not a joke thread. It is meant to be a constructive exercise.

If you attack any other posters in this thread, then that would be trolling, so just accentuate the positive.

Splat @ 3/12/2015 11:40 AM
This is what I like about Melo:

He can be a very efficient scorer when he plays in the flow and shoots or passes quickly.

He is sometimes a good rebounder.

He has the skills to be an above average passer if he applies himself.

Good luck on this being a serious conversation without deflection. I look forward to the responses regardless
Hector @ 3/12/2015 11:48 AM
If he concentrates on Basketball & not on a reality show or being a big time business man, he might do something here.
BRIGGS @ 3/12/2015 11:51 AM
His selfishness by forcing a trade and not waiting to free agency cost the Knicks and insane haul of players and assets and hurt all chances for Carmelo's time in NY to be successful. If I could make a trade for pick #2 in this draft if I had pick #1 for Carmelo--Id do it before I sat in a chair.

Melo is well liked by most teammates. He's just says really stupid things. Really hard for me to avoid the negatives so forgive me.

then don't post. and don't add the post about "good luck making it a serious conversation" you're doing exactly the opposite of what splat asked this thread to be about.

Yea you are right. What do you feel are his positive aspects?

nyk4ever @ 3/12/2015 11:58 AM
things i like about melo:
-he can score anywhere on the court
-he's too big to be guarded by 3's, to quick to be guarded by 4's
-he's not afraid to get dirty in the paint
-he can be a ferocious offensive rebounder
-he's got balls to think he can take and make all last second shots
-seems like other superstars do like him and want to play with him (not all, some)
gunsnewing @ 3/12/2015 12:00 PM
^agree on all accounts
fishmike @ 3/12/2015 12:02 PM
he got TFK and DK kicked off realgm. That shows Melo's incredible abilities transcend the court.
BRIGGS @ 3/12/2015 12:05 PM
Ill give anyone this ? would you trade Carmelo for pick 1 or 2 in this draft? The answer is going to be yes 100/100 times unless your name is James Dolan.

briggs, that's not what this thread is about. if you want to make a thread about that kind of thing, do it elsewhere.

Dont tell me what to do. I can post here--Im asking a legitimate question. I have been a Melo supporter--no bash here. But the honest question--would anyone trade Carmelo for pick 1-2?

im just trying to keep up with what splat wanted this thread to be about briggs. as soon as you start asking whether or not people would trade the picks for him, it goes off course and its not what splat intended it to be. he's not moderating it, so i will.

and let's be honest, i dont know if there is a poster here who wouldn't trade him for one of those picks IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, but that's not what this is about.

Thanks Briggs. Next you can tell us of the 14 grade schoolers with vid highlight reels right now you would trade him for. Provided the school board accepts cash as well.

Oh I'd trade Melo yesterday for a game worn Lin jersey and MDA's mustache comb.

He's 30. Duh. Of course I would take pick 2. 5 years ago? I take him for pick 2, but not #1, I would still take OK4, and thats at face, not factoring salary etc.

Melo's been or certainly around a top 10 ten NBA player for a long time. I mean at 25 years old thats what your drafting for. Now? Its a silly question. He's 30.
