Knicks · Why Do All Our Guards End Up In Houston? (page 1)

FireWoodson @ 3/13/2015 2:51 PM
Watching some of the Rockets game last night I was angry to see that the guards we get rid of end up playing great ball for the Houston Rockets.

Pablo Prigioni
Corey Brewer
Jeremy Lin
Toney Douglas
Trevor Ariza

Those are the ones off the top of my head, there are probably others.
Why does Houston rob us blindly when it comes to guards?

Trevor Ariza is not a guard

Pablo was a great deal

Tony Douglass is a dirty word

You're upset they 'stole' Toney Douglas?????

Lin is no longer on that team- they had to give up a number 1 draft pick to get rid of him.

Ariza is a small forward not a guard

Corey Brewer is more of a small forward than a guard

Prigs is a) 38 and b) is not playing well for the Rockets

Brewer was never given a chance in NY. Remember the coach said there wouldn't be minutes for him on the 29 win team

I guess the Knicks didn't need a young, productive wing player that could play defense.

A. Trevor Ariza is a guard.
B. Toney Douglas put up 30 for us one game. He had talent.
C. Prigioni was put into a Rockets game that was tied recently and before you know it the Rockets were up by 12.

Ariza is a SF who can play spot minutes at SG.

For the Rockets, Prigs is shooting 20% FG, 14% from 3 and averaging 1pt in 11mins. He was recently benched for a few games. One game where he happened to be on the court when the rockets took the lead does not over ride this.

Toney Douglas also shot 32% FG and 23% 3PT his last season for us. He played with the Rockets for 49 games several years ago and shot 39%. a 30pt game 6 years ago does not over ride this. I don't understand how he fits into your theory- the players you listed either aren't SGs, or don't actually play for the Rockets anymore or play for the rockets and don't actually play well.

Hehe, I'll play along. Who will be next? I think the answer is very obvious . THJ and this time they will be buying low. Now the question is how do we not get fleeced because he was a candidate for ROTY last season. He will be a starter in a few years, maybe an all-star( maybe not). I am thinking a first round pick plus another solid asset.

I actually don't want to trade him , but hey if the price is right . . .

You would rather have Pablo over Shved?
