He doesn't get as many post opportunities as he should.

towns with 8 blocks

Okafor looks more 'college' than Towns.

I'm ready to put my money with this kid over Okafor.
They're the same age basically, so 'raw' doesn't come into the equation.

Much higher ceiling is with Towns & that's where my money is - with Towns.

I have no doubt that this kentucky team would be a 3rd seed in the east. Towns is very fortunate to be playing next to another 7 foot defender, who's also a pretty good one.
StarksEwing1 @ 3/21/2015 5:24 PM
Russell vs johnson should be good
JrZyHuStLa @ 3/21/2015 5:42 PM
D-Lo missing first 4 shots but still impacting the game with passing.

theyre doubling him every possession. If he had a better team around him god knows even better his stats would be
JrZyHuStLa @ 3/21/2015 5:45 PM
This kid's confidence seems through the roof.
JrZyHuStLa @ 3/21/2015 5:46 PM
For me it's come down to Towns or D-Lo.

yeah. Im more impressed with russell since he literally carries the team. Towns is my second choice but he benefits playing with the best team in college

Not a fan of Stanley Johnson. I don't see all star potential here, just a pretty good defensive wing at the next level.
StarksEwing1 @ 3/21/2015 6:06 PM
Feel bad for russell, he is on his own out there

I like him more for his defensive potential. His offense will come in time. He's so much stronger than the majority of 3's in the NBA that he'l be able to bull his way to the hoop.

D'angelo getting lost on d. He is sucking to far down leaving the 3pt shooter open

I think he can grow into a Millsap/Dray Green type but with way more athleticism. The kid is already 245 lbs just imagine him once he matures.

I think he could be too big... He's very wide and he's not as tall as lebron....

Artest had a similar build his freshman year in college. Stanley is better athlete than Ron Was tho. I could see him slimming down a little or bulking up a little in the NBA, depending on the situation he lands.

I agree. His teammates are not good at all. One forward missed a wide open inbounds layup, and on top of that, this Arizona team is doing a great ob of locking Russll down. On defense they are all terrible, but thier coach shares some of the blame for using that stupid 2 3 defense consistently.

TPercy @ 3/21/2015 7:14 PM
Stanley Johnson hasn't looked great this game really, and playing defense against this underwheliming Ohio State dosen't mean anything.
TPercy @ 3/21/2015 7:15 PM
Russell and his teammates will need to go on a hotstreak of 3's and A1 defense if they want to get back in this. They have just under 4 mins.

Good games today...Someone said Towns had 8 blocks?!? Wow. I watched most of that game -- knew he had a few but didn't think he had that many. I thought Stein had a slightly bigger impact today just watching it unfold. Wish Towns got his named called more in the post. Come on Cal, that's what people want to see!! I think Towns will be A LOT better offensive player in the NBA eventually. His touch is very good (mid-range and at the line) and his hook shots with both hands have been money going back several weeks now. He's really perfected his hook shot, in particular...I'm with Hector -- I've been back and forth but I think I got Towns over Okafor too.

Terrible shooting game for Russell today. He's a good one but I definitely have him 3rd behind Towns & Okafor.

Anyone think Octavius Ellis (6'10" long/athletic 4-man, Cincy) or TJ McConnell (heady PG, ARZ) could be NBA role players?

Good game coming on now -- G-Town/Utah. Good chance to see Delon Wright..
