its a fair question but I think thats secondary if your filling the roster with the right guys. Not sure Monroe or Ajinca are those guys... I like some things dont like others, but Im keeping the FA list open until we draft someone
Maybe not the first year but in the long run, it will be Russell.
I would project Russell as the main ball handler. He seems comfortable with that.
An off season of Monroe, Ajinca, Russell and a few other Vets would be pretty good. Enough to put NY in the playoff race for sure.

He's Steph Curry's best friend, a restricted Free Agent and the Warriors currently have the best record in the league. They also look like the most fun team to be a part of and genuinely seem to like one another. Green is the front runner for Defensive Player of the Year.
I have a feeling Golden State will match.

They have Curry on a reasonable deal. But, unless they can move Iggy ($11MM) or Lee ($15MM) I don't see them being able to sign him. They are at $78MM right now going into next season with committed salaries. Klay $15MM and Bogut $12MM.
Luxury tax starts at $78MM which means they would have pay dollar for dollar on about 12-14MM ($24-$28MM in tax). Does the owner let that happen for a year? Who knows. It would also make Curry the 5th highest paid player on the team.

In case you have not notice, Fisher has all but scrap the triangle for the most part, he's actually running more pick and rolls, and shved is penetrating more than anyone on the roster.
