He is definitely having a tough time shooting the ball tonight. But, I can assure you that he is always very efficient at making shots.
He is cerebral as Jackson, but his length will make him a totally different player. He will be able to take over games a lot more

I don't want to digress too much from thread topic, but do you think Jackson should get in over Tim Hardaway? I consider Hardaway to be a borderline guy who could go either way.

I believe they both have a shot but I think Jackson would get in first because of his place on the assists list and Hardaway got on the league's bad side a few times.
So T.J. McConnell outscores(19-13) both Russell and Stanley Johnson, who shoot a combined 4/31 from the field, dishes out 6 assists, has 5 steals, and, from what I saw, did a pretty decent job when he was guarding Russell.
No, I would not consider, under ANY circumstances, taking McConnell over either of those guys, but for what its worth, when everything was said and done, he rose to the occasion and stood out as the best performer on the court in this particular game.

One game is only one game. Maybe he was sick or injured or something else happened. He still has arguably the best stats in the nation. Here are the updated CPR ratings.

It's a tough decision. When I watch Russell I can't believe how easy his stroke is and how good he is at passing. He would be awesome in the Triangle IMO. Then again when you look at a kid like Towns you can easily see how he would immediately impact your teams interior D and for years to come. Plus Towns is a skilled offensive player who should only get better. That could put him on an elite level being effective on both ends. OK4 is that rare dominant big in the post who will open up the perimeter for all of your wings. He's like a huge planet that sucks in defenders.
Funny thing about those three is ... that their respective games would complement each others in a near perfect way I think! Its a shame those three will never play together than in an all star game.
This is a really tough decision... I am right now leaning towards the defensive presence and O skill set of Towns... but hell... if we end up with Russel or OK4 we will also be fine!!! :)

yea.... thats why you need to watch. Also understand that AZ has one of the best teams in the country, and one of the deepest teams loaded with NBA athletes.
This game didnt hurt his stock, he's got the body of work

He's had a number of terrible shooting games this year, but he's also made up for poor shooting with rebounding, assists, and steals. I'd like to see what was done against him defensively in the poor shooting games he's had, or if he simply had games where he tried to do too much.
The fact that he's had some horrendous games shooting the 3, but hits them at 41% tells me that it's a decision making thing, and you figure that's the problem he's had in many of his bad games.
Not that impressed with the OSU offensive scheme, and I'm sure he suffered from that.
Not sure he's a great triangle guard, but in the NBA, with the rules protecting ball handlers, he should have a lot of success penetrating the perimeter and doing damage. I also wonder if he's a guy who needs the ball in his hand most of the time, a la Harden, to be at his best, but I haven't seen enough games of his to know this.
I'm another who wants a big man, but many of the worst draft decisions, or at least ones that were regretted, have occurred when a big man was taken over a multifaceted player like Russell...

Yea that final game won't effect Russell much. Arizona is a vastly superior team to Ohio state. Arizona will probably make it to the finals. Ohio state wouldn't even be in without Russell.
That said it will be really interesting to see who goes first between Russell & Mudiay. GM's and scouts are Going to have to earn their money big time. We wi see what happens during the individual predraft workouts.
One thing I'm certain of is this is the best draft since the LEBRON draft. Eventhough it lacks the clear it once eyes decade player like lebron & Davis.
Pick 1 is a no brainer:
1. Towns
Picks 2, 3 & 4 we have no idea at least until lottery positioning and pre-draft workouts
If I was a gambling man I's say Mudiay goes before Russell and probably to Philly.
Mudiay was the #1 prospect in the world and recruited by both Calipari & Larry Brown

Philly got rid of MCW because he can't shoot (but has all the other tools) and they will pick up Mudiay who can't shoot either and has played where no one can see him?
No way. Philly cares too much about metrics to do this.
