Knicks · Joseph Young 6-2 190 Triangle PG comp Kyle Lowry (page 1)

I would say Young was the most impressive player behind Okafor this weekend. Another senior not ranked but he's a late first round talent. Has some qualities like Galloway maybe a little more fluid of a player and strong and quick to the basket like Lowry.

Houstons our 2nd round pick this summer and next summer as well
Portlands 2nd rounder in 2017

That is why I would like to trade CA to Houston
They also own New Orleans 1st rounder this summer

With possible combinations of players like

DMO
Terrence Jones

Corey Brewer
Koustas Pap (5m unguaranteed)
Any throw ins if needed
Would even take Terry in a sign and trade with other years unguaranteed IF NEEDED

He's a 6'2 shooting guard with a rep for no defense????????

I think he's a little taller than Langston Galloway. We can go back and say any triangle PG is a combo guard. These seniors yield incredible upside for their cost projection--aka our own not rated not drafted Langston Galloway.

In the dept of "beggars cant be choosers" a team like the Knicks needs to go out and find guys like Shevyd and Galloway. I have seen most of the drafteable guards and Young has much of the same recipe as Galloway if not more. He 's a high end sniper 3 with a 90 FT rate. His usage was very high at Oregon--so teams focused on him quite a bit which led to his 3 pt shooting % dip from his years 2-3 but hes a .400-.4300 shooter from 3 ball. Hes strong--aka Mighty Joe young--like Lowry and gets into the paint He's quick so he should be able to defend quite nicely and hes nearly 4 rebounds a game from his spot over his whole career. He's this years Galloway.

Galloway has some leadership qualities in him and I like his willingness to ask his peers for advice like Billups, Earl The Pearl, and Walt Frazier
Speaking of Frazier, that kid that the Sixers released a couple weeks back put up some good numbers when he did play that has been sent back to the D League since...

he falls a bit short in athleticism to make it in the pros....

and contrary to popular belief... seniors are huge risks due to the age that they come in.. if they're not good.. they usually won't be good and he falls into that camp...

fishmike @ 3/23/2015 3:30 PM
except Young got measured at the Nike camp and was 6'2 with a 6'4 winspan. Galloway's was 6'8. It makes a big difference... but there will be some Sr guards out there to pick from. Ultimately its who fits in your system.

Seniors are a small risk. They usually come with a price tag of rd 2 or undrafted. They come mature and with games developed. There are some nice seniors this year--Young being one of the top.

This is what ufa camp invites are for. I still have hope Scottie Wilbekin can get a shot. He was doing great in Australia and since he started college as 16 yr old he is still young for a former 4yr college player.
Knicks1969 @ 3/23/2015 4:06 PM
Langston is a very smart young kid. The mere fact that he sought counsel from some of the former greats tells me that he is a sponge. With room to make mistakes, this kid can prove to be our best young talent.

I want to commit the full 3mm to buying 2nd rounders and finding undrafted players and see if we can get 4-5 additional players to our SL team with the goal of bring 2-3 to camp and the others to Westchester.
