I wish the Knicks would bring up Tim Frazier. NOt sure who they waive to create a spot.

I hope everything heals ok . Rib is not something that gets a lot of wear and tear in basketball. I have my fingers crossed that my fellow Russian (who has the same first name as myself, by the way)recovers fast without complications.

Same. He is the reason I have been watching games. If Ledo was able to do anything he would have locked in also. Shved has been awesome. Maybe this tones down other teams interest and keeps him a knick next year.
nixluva @ 3/25/2015 6:55 PM
Shved not playing could be a good thing in terms of hiding him a bit. We don't need other teams sniffing around Shved. I'd love to see him get serious about his strength conditioning. Not that he has to muscle up, but he should try to get stronger so he can finish stronger and maybe having some muscle padding around his bones would help protect him a bit more.
Splat @ 3/25/2015 7:03 PM
Did anyone see the injury closely? Would it have broken anyone's rib or is Shved perhaps more frail and prone to breakage?
BRIGGS @ 3/25/2015 7:05 PM
Shveyd needs to be on an aggressive weight gaining strength program. As someone else pointed out he has the body of a crack head. If he is serious about the NBA he needs to put forth a 110% effort in this area.

On the plus side I think this drops his offeason contract to 3 years 10mm.

Perhaps now he'll have incentive to take his conditioning seriously. This is the best he's looked in his career and it's a perfect spot for him. He's gotta get stronger tho. Can't absorb the punishment he's going to get driving if he's so anorexic looking.

anything over $2.5m would be too much.

Yellowboy--you seemed particularly concerned about money. You do understand that in the next two years the salary cap may rise as much as 50% to 107mm? A 3 year 10mm contract in 2 years is probably close to a minimum contract. So youd rather miss out on a player now by not thinking ahead/and or being cheap while contracts sit at a 33-50% discount? This is the year to spend as much as you can.

I doubt you miss out on Shved because of his performance on the league's worse team. He was just serviceable. He did a lot of things to make you say maybe just maybe he is a NBA player. You do not give extra money to players who were almost out of the league. You also try to maximize your cap space this summer before everyone has cap space if you are the knicks.

The league is not knocking down the door of a throw in for 37 yr old Pablo Prigioni just because he did okay in 16 games.

Besides, $3M buys you a whole lot of ribs

Scvhyed is worth every bit of 3 years 10mm--whether its off the bench or as a starter. Any player lost is FA money that needs to be spent anyway. Svheyd is the best player we have on the current roster sans CA.

I heard 2-3 weeks.

That's plenty of time to thoroughly marinate him

They look a lot worse without him tonight.

Crush astute observation. Picking up Scvheyd was probably the best move the Knicks made in a few years. I acknowledge this after saying he scked when we got him. He played very well with the dribble got the basket easily rebounded passed dcent shot and put up good numbers in the NBA--made the team somewhat competitive. It tells a lot when he dropped out of the line up our team went from bad to out of this world shtty.

Oh no! Seasons over
knicks1248 @ 3/25/2015 11:58 PM
He's not you most durable player, he's miss quite a few games the last two season because of injuries.

Victim of a dirty play. Nothing to do with durability
