i attended the knicks game tonight. 2nd row seats behind Tyrese (from Fast and Furious)!...one of the benefits of dating a lawyer for MSG. lol. anyways here are some thoughts:
- knicks dont know how to run the triangle STILL! nothing is intuitive yet. they still do alot of pointing like "go this way, no go that way"
- their defense is just awful...especially on the weakside. bargnani and early are just lost. no one can guard their man one on one
- Cole, smith and lou are statues. no foot speed or ups.
- thomas tries hard but runs very "strangely". i like his mid range game though
- Ledo looked like a "live body"...very athletic, nice cross over and a nice jumper. however he was SO frustrated at how sloppy the triangle was run
- Early curses like a sailor. good game though.
- galloway gets beat up. nothing comes easy for him. whether its dribbling, cutting, passing or just getting off a shot. he tries SO hard though
- larkin literally doesn't LOOK at the rim
- blake whines ALOT. he had a million missed dunks which were so fun to watch
- DJordan had some nice dunks that looked like they were coming right at us
- CP3 is a little taller than larkin but just controlled the game...he had a million assists
- the knicks made rivers look like M.Jordan
off the court
- Tyrese Gibson is mad cool. he was often posing for pics with the fans during commercials. i invited him to sing at our wedding; he said "maybe". lol. yeah right
- the garden was PACKED..not just with die hard fans and corporate types but with celebrities!! they all stayed to the very last minute of the clippers massacre
I think this team already knew they were going to take a major L before it happened...

Thanks for the awesome report! A lawyer for MSG? When you call her at the office, is the wait music Darth Vader's Imperial March Theme?
I know I shouldn't be surprised but what is it with the Garden and the celebs and packed houses? Do the celebs get a trailerload of perks or do they just love the spotlight or both? And when you add the corporate seats and the tourists... do you guys really think Dolan doesn't want to be in the playoffs every year just for the revenue?!? (Not that he knows what it takes)

Dolan gives them hand jobs in the VIP lounge before tip-off. It's MSG's "Get off before tip-off" campaign.

Thanks for the report. BTW does she have any single co-workers???
I can only imagine when you lose by 30 just how bad we looked!!!!
Sounds like you had a good time at the game despite the score. Remember if the team was contending you don't get those tickets!
They get taken.
Garden is full and thanks to Donald sterling the equity boost on the books and the Company Stock to pay for the renovation is looks good on the ledger! This relax's dolan and allows us to rebuild.
Sterling gets Exec of the year and is knick MVP!! Purverse!!!

I'm gonna bring this point into the Ledo thread, this was a super interesting observation.
Thanks for the report Ned.
