Towns was greatly tonight. SPECTACULAR

He bullied a undersized light weight big on offense with the same basic move then got out hustled on defense by the same guy. I still like Towns but this was not a wow game for me.
He was in foul trouble. Cal even took him out late when UK was on defense so he wouldn't pick up a 5th foul.
He's 19
they both were in foul trouble. Also, that is becoming more and more of a problem. Guns, I like Towns but I just didn't think he was special last night. It's like going gaga because Marc Gasol scored on sweet lou but let him score 20 pts. Towns potential is there and the Ft shooting is special for a Center. Imagine Howard with Towns Ft ability. Speaking of Howard that's the kind of D I want to see from Towns and I'm not seeing that. Maybe he is still adjusting to his body but right now he has heavy feet.
I also didn't like Grant's last few possessions when he stopped moving the ball. August was calling for the ball when Harrison was on him and Grant threw up step back 3 after step back 3.
Philly could come out like champs this year. they could go Winslow/Henzaji? then get Grant as their pg. They already have his brother. Dekker would be a nice grab later. i would see if he can be Draymond type with Jared Dudley as a baseline and Bonner as a worst case scenario.
Man you guys are tough. What else does the kid need to do. Everyone in the world has him going #1.
UK is a tough crowd
He single-handedly won the game. The rest of the team played like crap including Stein. Meanwhile you got people here saying Towns is not a go to guy. UK went to him every time in the game. He did t miss in the 2nd half!
As bad as UK played they only gave up 66pts
I definitely think he can reach Howard as his upside defensively. He is way more advanced and versatile offensively and like you said a great FT shooter and he gets to the line a lot. Can't wait to see him spread the floor in the NBA. Hopefully for Melo & Monroe

Dwight Howard's offensive skills are weak. He is a million dollar specimen with a 10 cent brain. Towns is way more capable on offense already.
