Knicks · When Thibodeau leaves BULLs, I'm calling his agent fast & would dump Derek Fisher in seconds (page 1)
Not even sure if Thibodeau is NewYork's Phil Jackson type other than being ex-BULLs employees
(Thibodeau rumored to be out after season)
If Thibodeau is free to coach NBA this summer Knicks be mad & crazy not
to bring him back to NY city the mecca. They can $$space Coach Fisher
feelings all the way to the bank, Derek will be fine.
However DJ is again running his mouth at coaches, this one our coach NYK headcoach Derek Fisher.
DJ is all about giving things time, 1st yr coaches, 1st yr players whomever a chance.
However DJ is sure as hell that I'm convinced that with Knicks great draft ahead,
and FA's signings that Derek Fisher will flourish under a better more skilled roster squad.
I am sure I'm in minority here but there isn't squat to make me feel that Derek Fisher
with more ammo' on team and players will evolve anytime soon as a REAL NBA coach.
Aint all Fisher fault & its not that I got something personal vs Coach Derek,
however even with a poor squad with a bit better players then when Amare, a then
healthy Iman and JR Smith was here, that FISHER hasn't showed me Sh_t that he knows
how to coach much less show something that a Knick team is about.
It can apply to any NBA team,
True Knicks Su_cks, true Roster isnt Fisher's fault
however Derek isn't getting any raves for anything positive about
a player developing, nor what basic basketball hoops fundamentals is about.
He doesn't seem to know the Teaching triangle offense AS good as he played it with his 5 rings.
He may one day become a very good coach, but DJ doesn't see this in NY.
This man FISHER is going to take way too long to learn and teach and demonstrate any positives
about TEAM.
I know you all think I am crazy and the roster is very bad but
I seen a lot of bad bad teams in NBA for several yrs & long time.
Seen a lot of coaches whom shown MORE about their philosophy OR what they want to accomplish
with same OR less experience than Derek Fisher.
Fisher mess divorce don't help here (sad) by sounds of it does not seem its all wife fault OR fisher fault.
I wont use that as excuse here, his personal stuff should have been kept out of papers in first place!
If Fisher was as smart as touted he'd wait to season 2014/15 end before callously filing for divorce which
blindsided his Wife Candace Fisher stated.
However On Subject of Tom Thibodeau he may be a pain, But a SUCCESSFUL NBA Pain
you know where he's coming from WIN, LOSE or DRAW.
He isn't a loser and has experience to deal with the new and older players.
Tom Thibodeau was in NYK land as Jeff Jr. Van Gundy ass'istant then, did well for
long time with several teams before his CHITOWN Bulls success.
Thibodeau is worth the call at least from Knicks front office
Yea I know Phil J. looks obligated to Derek Fisher
But Fisher with better talent won't prove to me he's a coach in
NY for my team.
I usually want to give a guy 1 -2 yrs & don't blame Fisher for season
as matter of fact kinda thank him for su_cking team down for our DRAFT May 15 fortunes
for draft lotto top pick opportunitity.
But Fisher isn't the coach for this team. Period.
He got paid $$$ acts like he wants to be here eh ? I don't think so, I don't see it

Regarding Thibodeau even ex Knick legends here Mark Jackson and Patrick Ewing would be
better here as Knick coaches and I proclaim would not be worst and would do good job
if given chance.

guys returning would prove to me Fisher would have an Idea what to do here.

You would probably get a few that would disagree with your thinking....nix might be one of the few. But it doesnt matter what we think. Phil is in control now. Phil will get the best puppet he can control.....thats the bad part about having phil as the GM. He will ride and die with the triangle and the management structure he hand picks...because he has the biggest ego out of all GMs. And the more his triangle circle of coaches fail....the more stubborn he gets. So to save you some time....this doesnt need its own thread because 95% would agree with you....but unless you are willing to start and lead a rally to fire Fisher......this topic will dwindle into the UK history books....until Fisher is either replaced or voluntarily excepts a buy out.....The triangle and the triangle coaches that was part of Phils championships are here to stay. The last thing Phil wants is to bring in a coach that he doesnt know and doesnt have the triangle back ground or championship pedigree from his hey day. Phil thinks 4 moves ahead like chess.....hes not going to bring in thibs or jeff van gundy.....in fear of being undermined putting his triangle legacy on the line.

Nor championship pedigree will help Derek Fisher.
This is a new age era,
sure if a LBJ or some elite type is coming here the Triangle can be learned
however rest of hoop know-hows don't know if Triangle is thing of past OR
today's guys in NBA are as smart as the few (e.g LBJ)
By that time Jackson may move on, retiree who knows ? I Am giving Phil J a chance
I don't feel same with Fisher and its not so much as about Firing Fisher as it it
getting right guy in here to build towards something.
Derek Fisher 1st yr coach is getting pass this yr & perhaps next ? however
that don't mean he's right guy for any kind of teaching much less Phil J. Triangle offense to build a winner.
Recall Fisher was far from NYK Jackson's 1st choice wasn't even Phil's proper 2nd choice.
AS a matter of fact unless you either trade Carmelo Anthony OR
move 2 of the top 10 players into Knicks team, there will be no such thang as Triangle offense success

We want to build a winner, we also could care less of Triangle offense working
if it ain't thru Derek Fisher, then as long as Jackson is in charge he isn't going to wait forever
for Fisher to build a .500 team over several years of triangle. That is my point.
We'll get talented guys thru hopeful drafts, and FAs in 2-3 years
don't mean they'd gel and mesh with Derek Fisher either. Coach got to count for something eventually

its the NBA, Derek Fisher in my eyes got a long ways to go to prove to this NewYorker he knows what time it is
