Knicks · Who will be the megastar out of the 2015 draft?????? (page 1)

Knicks1969 @ 4/10/2015 10:47 AM
I know a lot have been said about Okafor, Towns, and even Mudiay; but I want to be the first to crown D'angelo Russel and Justice Winslow as the players who will be ruling the NBA the next 10 years. One has the court vision and passing abilities of a pure PG, but can also shoot the hell out of the ball. At 19, 6'5", this dude still has room to grow even taller.

The other too is only 19, 6'6", and might grow another inch or two, with freakish athleticism; plays at both ends of the court, and has the heart of a champion. Whatever team that is blessed enough to draft those two kids will be set for the next decade and will be guaranteed to hoist a championship trophy

StarksEwing1 @ 4/10/2015 10:56 AM
The good thing about this draft is that there are a good amount at the top. Last year was supposedly the draft of the decade and i only saw wiggins and parker have any impact
SupremeCommander @ 4/10/2015 10:57 AM
I don't really think you are sticking your neck out at all... Russell and Justice are in my top five and most people's top five.

Outside the obvious names, I am a huge RJ Hunter fan and I like Jerian Grant.

crzymdups @ 4/10/2015 11:02 AM
Towns, Russell, Winslow sound like safe bets to me. I just can't see Okafor doing it.

Grant is a nice player. He has good pedigree, but it is going to be fun to watch. I don't believe Okafor and Towns will be allowed by their respective teams the time and coaching necessary to develop after just one year in college. It is guaranteed that these kids will be selected by teams like Knicks, LA, and Philly; three cities with the worst media and fans. The demand will be so strong, as a result, these kids may end up missing their marks

I think Winslow has the chance to be as good as T-Mac or even better.

Winslow, with the Euro step and stuff, reminds me more of Harden than T-Mac - I don't feel like he has that above the rim game TMac had when he was young. Something about Winslow makes me feel like he'll be a Kawhi Leonard type - just a very solid, do anything dependable starter on very good teams. I feel like he'd be a perfect Spur.

I see him as Paul George Lite

I could see the Paul George comp. the "lite" part is where the draft is a wild card. it comes down to situation and how much the kid wants to be great, really. PG13 didn't get a shot until Indy had a big injury to Danny Granger - then he was able to show his stuff and develop into an all-star. I think a lot of it comes down to situation.

Paul George has a bigger frame. I agree with you that the fight in the dog is more important than the size of the dog... that sid, Paul George is much bigger dog. I don't think Winslow can be drafted as a SG/SF... he HAS to pan out as a SG

Duke is not known to produce megastars; the first and last one they have had so far is Hill; and he was not even their best player when he was with Duke. I have hope for Winslow

They will be a sweet consolation for us if we whiff on the top couple of picks. I'd be happy with Russell!

But if we have the #1, there's no way we don't pick Towns. No way.

TPercy @ 4/10/2015 11:25 PM
Winslow can be anything, I see a lot of Jimmy Butler in him.

Yeah but Okafor was the top player coming out of high school and the freshman of the year (wayman tisdale? award?). Who else have they had that highly rated?, Brand? Brand was a really good player.

Here smy prediction. Miami gets the number 1 pick from the 9 seed

Is that because Cleveland got it twice after LBJ left?
Knicks1969 @ 4/11/2015 8:46 PM
I would cry like a lil b*tch if Miami were to win the lottery. After winning two championships within he last 5 years, Miami doesn't deserve to be in the lottery.

He sure as hell can. I would be very happy watching him develop as a Knicks

Moonangie @ 4/11/2015 10:11 PM
Towns.
Knicks1969 @ 4/12/2015 2:04 PM
Would you trade the number one pick for a chance to draft: Winslow, Stein, and Kaminsky? I am not sure that is even possible, but I am just saying.
