he has no midrange game. his ability to shoot threes was also overstated-- i keep expecting that to improve.

however his ability to draw fouls is overlooked, as is the defense you mentioned-- he is a very very good defender. he has also had a hard time finishing at the rim but occasionally he gets the ball in the open floor and can cover a huge swath of ground with just two or three dribbles.

Name a scorer who didn't take a ton of shots, that's what the do. Even with a guy like westbrook who can get you a triple double and still lose in the process. Two seasons ago melo was 3rd in MVP voting, and his team won 54 games, dk7th I total understand your gripe with a guy like melo.

25 million is not a lot of money considering Jordan made 30 mill for one season almost 17 yrs ago. Todays max players are no where near the talent they were 20 yrs ago. I think thats what you need to come to grips with.
