Just sayin at least we still own the tie breaker for the top pick
StarksEwing1 @ 4/11/2015 9:48 PM
Dont be surprised if wolves pass us. Atlanta will rest their guys and we all know knicks will win the last game because being a knicks fan sucks

LOL

Season series doesn't matter for the draft. If we end the season with the same record as T-Wolves a coin flip will decide which team drafts first.

i dont know whether to laugh or cry. Being a knick fan is like getting a heart transplant and then getting hit by a bus 5 seconds after leaving the hospital

Oh, I thought it went by Confererence.

thanks man i try to be comedic even when im super pissed. Growing up in the 90s i was used to watching great knicks teams even though they never won a title. The past 15 years has been hell basically as a knick fan

Spot on man. This team can never do right for its fan base.

Look at the T wolves schedule--theyll be lucky to come within 20 points of any of those games.

We lost 25 ping pong balls tonight--I guess we can live with that. If we lose the last 2 we are locked in for a coin flip.

We will be picking 5th or 6th by the end of this. My Knick senses are tingling.

probably which means we failed bigtime. Sure you can get a decent player there but not a game changer. I dont care how much cap room we have that doesnt guarantee anything. Back in 2010 we had cap Room and got stoudamire thats it

There is two scary last possibilities.

A. First off the Knicks win one more game because the Wolves wont.

B The worst case scenario still in play Philly loses two and we win 2 which causes a coin flip and potentially as low as 6.

B will most likely happen. Out of the 3 teams the knicks are the only team dumb enough to try and win

Even Orlando wasn't trying to win. That says it all.

True- that's been my biggest worry

If the Knicks and wolves are tied at seasons end.....a coin flip decides who gets the worst record, not head to head matchups.

I read that there was no coin flip, the teams simply share the odds- I've no idea which is true

Cant share an uneven number...thus a coin flip.

1996-2003: 13-team Lottery
In October of 1995, the Board of Governors increased the number of teams participating in the Lottery from 11 to 13 to account for the addition of expansion teams Toronto and Vancouver. Starting in 1996, the team with the worst record in the Lottery continued to have a 25% chance (250 combinations) of winning the first pick, teams two (20%; 200 combinations) through six (6.4%; 64 combinations) have slightly fewer chances, team seven (4.4%; 44 combinations) has the same number of chances and teams eight (2.9%; 29 combinations) through 12 (0.6%; six combinations) have slightly more chances. The number of chances for team 13 (0.5%; five combinations) did not change. Tied teams split the number of chances and a blind draw determines which team receives an extra chance if the combined number of chances can not be split evenly.
