It s possible he could be breaking the Knick cahones with tampering charges. But this has some legs--Phil's buddy Triple hmm Charley Rosne talked about Monroe over Towns because of the size of his arse.

Isola is a joke! First of all my wife could figure out that Monroe is one of the most likely options and she knows nothing about basketball. Monroe is a young Big who is an unrestricted Free Agent. That's the low hanging fruit in this market. The young RFA's are a bit tougher, so really this isn't much of a guess by Isola. Monroe playing in NY under Phil Jackson is a much better look than being pretty much forgotten and overlooked in Detroit. If i'm Monroe I want NY too. It just makes sense. He'd be playing with Melo who would be the best player he's ever played with plus whoever we draft should still be a nice addition.

That means absolutely nothing. We won't be playing anything like Detroit. Phil has had so much success with bigs like Monroe in this system that it's a clear fit. Don't talk to me about the damn Pistons when we have an offense that's proven to work with post bigs. They may do better without him but that has no bearing on how he'd fit in our system. Just like how Schved looked so much better in our system than he did on other teams.

Solid player but has weakness's and is a tweener between a 4 and 5
I still say we should target Ajincia, if we can move down in the draft or get another pick if we move CA, fill in the GUARDS threw the draft, and the BIGS in FA this summer and next summer
We also need to get solid players, multiple contracts, in the price range of 2m - 5m
With Cole Aldrich, we can resign them with early bird rights to make us go OVER the cap and have the FULL 6m MLE to either use on 2-3 players or 1-2 players
Look at players like
Sessions
Bayless
DJ Augustine
Evan Turner
all great value players
With possibly 1 player being a D LEaguer, 2nd rounder, undrafted FA to have a 3year deal with team options...

IF we are able to move CA to Lakers or Houston Rockets, it would be in our best interest and even CA's, as we are unlikely to be contenders till we develop our guys and he simply would have to wait another 2years b4 we can compete for a title...
Anyway back on Monroe, his weakness is DEFENSE, as he is stuck between a PF and Center, without the ability to defend the "stretch 4's" especially ones like Lebron/Durant/Rudy Gay along with LA, Dirk, Ryan Anderson etc
However, if we are able to acquire Ajinicia, his ability to spread the floor and with his combination of youth, length, athleticism, reach, and ability to cover much ground on both help DEFENSE and shot blocking/rebounding, it would allow a lane to penetrate at all times or lead to a wide OPEN 3pter if not
Not sure if we can hae both AJinicia and KAT play together on the floor together but their DEFENSE would be GREAT if KAT develops to his potential

Detroit can do what they want i'm not concerned with them. As for the Knicks I don't consider this new regime to be a bunch of bums. I think they have a very clear idea of what they're looking to build here and we'll see how that goes this summer, but I don't see why Knicks fans are so closed minded about our own franchise at this point. We're still on the cusp of some major changes this summer. We're in a great position to improve. There's no reason to be down on what this franchise can do this summer given the options we have to get better and clear vision based on experience with this system.
We know exactly the kind of players we need. That's a major advantage going into Free Agency. We're not just going out and throwing names together and hoping it somehow works. There are clear skills we can look for in players and clear roles. That's why it's so easy to guess that Monroe would be a target cuz we know his game fits one of the clear roles in this offense.

Me either but he said Melo is stopping by his office to see what is being done and talk about the future. He is in the position he is in and is the only guy that could relay that info to the public.
I was hoping he was going to be moved out as part of the purge that might take place starting with the Westchester coach. Maybe Houston is the guy to go. Houston seems to have a Herb like role in the front office.
