Knicks · Hezonga Russell Musial kaminsky (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 4/14/2015 9:29 AM
In that order we're going to get a good player no matter what. If the Knicks can get a kanter who can be our 20-10 guy we just load up with more guards. I like our position no matter what. I do hope the knicks go all out for kanter I've watched him closely I really think he'd fit in here well
Hector @ 4/14/2015 9:39 AM
If we wind up with Kaminsky the season was a total disaster!!!!!!!
Hector @ 4/14/2015 9:41 AM
That is the ONLY thing I think of when his name is mentioned. Especially with the draft pick they worked so hard to earn this year only to fuck up at the end.

at THE WORST we better get D Russell.

If we lose tomorrow we get a top 5 name we need guards to

H1AND1 @ 4/14/2015 9:44 AM
Ugh, I really hope we dont go after Kanter. The guy is an abomination on defense. Im so tired of forwards who cannot defend and could care less that Kanter might be a 20-10 guy. Id rather sign a guy who puts up 8-8 but who puts defenders on their asses and defends the rim. Just my opinion. Kanter is a nice scorer inside but watch the guy play D. Its embarassing.

I really think these idiots are gonna end the season on a winning streak.

I feel good with our ping pong ball allotment. I think we have enough to get the job done & I think we'' wind up drafting 2nd or 3ed.

I don't want no surprises.
I don't want another Gallinari foreign pick.
The Knicks haven't extended a rookie contract since Charlie Ward & I really want someone that will be here for 15 years, not get traded to the god Damn Nuggets!

He gives NO blocks - & Ibake isn't even playing, Adams is doing the 'D' for that front line.

I'm not really high on him - that Gobert really is something - Utah did the right thing.

they are going to win tomorrow. We will drop back with Philly and probably fall back as far as feasible in draft order.

And Dolan, as owner of this franchise, deserves that. We as fans don't. But Dolan does. And maybe I should root for that to happen, because just maybe the knicks will screw that up!

Who is the Jordan Hill in this draft? Can't wait to add him to this roster.

30 wins max next season. Maybe 35.

Remember, it's not the talent that matters the most, it's the fit.

I would take a guy that fits like a glove in my system as oppose to a talented guy who looks horrible in my system

This system requirements are to high. It requires a Jordan or Kobe type.

Kind of agree with you, but the BPA concept seems to be an absolute with many folks.

The real issue will be how the Knicks evaluate the players we are always discussing around here.

Who is to say that they don't see the relative value of players A, B, C, and D in a way that is entirely different from other talent evaluators, such as us. We won't see any of the workouts they do for us, or the kinds of things we put them through.

Seems to me that a lot of players have been put into that 1/2 category during the past months, and guys around here have their favorites.

I expect that if Mudiay had played more this year some would be touting him as a top 2 guy.

I consider this a pretty good draft year, and except for Mudiay and Hezonga, I've been able to see every top guy play at least 3 games, which is pretty good for me.

I think I could live with any of these guys being picked, although I wish I could have seen Mudiay and Hezonga play full games without see highlights:

OK4
Towns
Russell
Winslow
Kaminsky
Mudiay
Hezonga

The system requires a couple of shooters, a scorer(melo), a pure rebounder, a big man who can pass and shoot the mid-range shot, a couple of slashers, and a big guard.

NY Jets did this a few years ago, and it really limited their draft. Not sure if winning their final game last year made a big difference, but it's frustrating to see a terrible season ended in a way that makes the season even more terrible.

Knicks did the same thing in the Jordan Hill draft- finished with some meaningless victories.

On some teams this would be a good thing- especially if you have young players who seem to be maturing and becoming a team. Utah might be an example of this. With the Knicks, you have so many guys probably leaving that the wins can only hurt- they prove nothing.

We need a player who can break a defense down and get his shot when there's nothing else. They don't have to be as good as Jordan or Kobe. There are a lot of players with that kind of ability below the level of Jordan or Kobe. Right now we need more than just one player anyway.

We have to form a top 6 rotation that is high quality and allows this team to contend. The Hawks are contending without a Franchise type player. The Knicks can build a good team for next year even if we end up with the 6th pick. It's a good draft.

So you are describing the Pete Myers/Pippen lead Bulls squad.

We don't even know how good our young players will end up being. We haven't seen Thanasis in the NBA yet. Maybe Labeyrie is a high energy Stretch 4 we need. Our other young players have actually started to look much better lately. It's a good sign that they are closing the season playing confident.

So now on top of that we can add our draft pick #1-6 should still be a pretty good player! Then we don't know who we'll add in Free Agency this summer as well. It could turn out to be a good roster next year all told.

#1. It's illegal to lose games on purpose, for those that are seriously mad at winning, there's nothing more you can do than what was already done. We have a D league team. No D league team should be winning games. So the plan is to have a D league team play hard like they are trying to win. Well, guess what?
#2. They play ball like your 9-5 job. If you don't get a memo from your employer to purposely screw up your product, then you will continue to try and be the best employee at your job. Try and produce the best product quality can find hoping to increase job security.

You don't work hard to lose games. You work hard to win. And thats what these D league players are doing, playing hard to win. If it was legal to lose games, then we would've forfeited the rest of the season. You have to act like you are trying to win, but putting guys on the floor that play hard. Hoping you put a low talented group that couldn't compete with elite NBA players. Thats what we did.

So I don't understand why the negativity on things you can't control. The knicks are cursed, it's that simple. We can't do anything right. When we try to win, we lose. When we try to lose, we win. In a nutshell, thats what all knick fans had to deal with most of their adult life. You can only cry for so long....after while, there's no more tears left. Thats where I'm at these days! Let me know when everybody catches up so we can move forward.

yea.. great post. My favorite part is the guys blaming the coach.
I know the world of pro-sports may not be the best guage for reality but have some common sense. Langston, THjr, Lance, Lou, etc etc.. these guys are working and fighting for their NBA lives. They are practicing. They are in the weight room. They are looking at film. Any suggestion that these guys should throw the game are not reality based. Not one iota.

Im honestly happy for Galloway. He's a keeper and a great game last night.

I think people forget that we have rookies, 2nd yr players and young vets we're still developing. We may see all of these players return next year.

1. Galloway R
2. Early R
3. Hardaway
4. Larkin
5. Ledo
6. Schved
7. Acy
8. Thomas
9. Aldrich

Then we can add our draft pick and Thansis as well.
