Knicks · What If We End Up Withe The 6th Pick???? (page 3)

To those of you who think positioning does not matter, I have news for you: the first pick is worth a lot more on the trading table then the 6th pick. Example, for the first pick, the Knicks could possibly command a trade that can net them: Cousins, and two first round picks in this draft. A team that is hungry enough for a talent like Okafor, might want to shed a lot of assets.

I get it, but look: Philly started off the season tanking. Wolves pretty soon afterwards with Rubio going down in November. Meanwhile Uncle Phil saw us as a playoff team going into the season. So why get mad at fans who aren't mad we'll probably finish ahead of those teams? They did as bad as any Knicks team in history.

The Eastern Conference sucks.

to have gone through this insufferable season to come away with... pristaps porzingis????

so yeah... two meaningless wins can change a franchise... it's not fair... it's how the nba is... but it's reality.... and if you can't see how much the last two wins have hurt us then you are not in tune with reality...

Honestly learning that he plays in the top Euro league has changed my opinion on him. This dude is a 19 yr old putting up some eye popping numbers. I'd take him. He is shooting at a high percentage while getting rebs, blks, and stls. This could be a better shooting Greek Freak minus the ball handling.

Exactly

The worst the Knicks can do is get the 5th pick. Only a 12% chance of that happening.

3 or 4 seems very likely. That means russell or mudiay which would be pretty damn good

If Philly wins the lotto with the 3rd worst record, do we get to bitch about losing tonight too?

It's already a crap shoot from here. Let's watch it play out before getting worked up about it.

Of course not, if a team with a worse record than us wins the lottery that's just bad luck. All the complaining that's been happening is because we were giving ourselves worse odds.

i think you were missing the point. People were pissed because we went from a guaranteed top 4 to possibly falling to 6 which could be big.

Well now we know it's at worst #5. The odds are better for a higher pick so we just need to relax and let this play out. No sense complaining now. In case anyone forgot we can still win the #1 pick. Bytching isn't necessary anymore it's over until the lottery.

After such a horrendous season, you are telling me we should be ok with the 5th pick? You are not serious!

Come on man! We haven't lost our shot to win the #1 spot in the lottery. We just ticked down a few % pts and our bottom is now 5 instead of 4. The thing to keep in perspective is that the chances for 5 are not as high.

What's not likely? Winning #1? Our chances are just slightly less than Minnesota which has the best odds. 25% vs 19.9%. Everyone else has worse odds than we do.

I will continue to remind you all of the value of a number one pick; if Phil were to decide to trade that pick, it could be a hell of a lot more valuable then say a fifth pick. First overall pick can win the Knicks a total of three or more picks in this rich draft. Squandering that opportunity for a useless win; specifically, when all we have is just one freaking pick and no more then 3 guaranteed contracts in the book, is stupid.

dude our team sucks, what do you want them to do? shoot the ball in the wrong hoop? its not like fisher could choose to play WORSE players than he already has. its a fucking 6% difference, relax.

nyk4ever @ 4/15/2015 11:27 PM
the real crime here is that minnesota is in the lottery AGAIN.. they've been in the lotto since 2006. there should be a rule about sucking that bad for that long, what a shame for that fanbase.
