Im rooting for the Nets to upset ATL. I know it won't happen, its why its called an UPSET!!!
Why you may ask? It makes the Nets more interesting and no rivalry can be one without interesting and good teams! Net Success has no bearing on Knicks success or failure. I know many of you prefer the Nets Suffer but I never wish ill on any NY team.
I can't see Cav's not winning the east. GS wins in the west you have two NBA rookie coaches in the finals. Whoa!
I think if Cavs and ATL advance they meet in the second round? Can Chicago evolve with Rose back on the court?
Can Wiz really make a run this year? We will subjected to more Smugness from Pierce!!! Is John Wall ready for prime time?
Can Deron break away from his demons and rise up to the challage? BroPez made it a full season! Can he not break during the playoffs? Is Joe Johnson running on Fumes?
Out west, Pel's sneak in and knock Spurs from the 2 seed all the way to the 6th. The power of first place. Rockets stay 2nd seed dispite Dwights lack of participation and Chandler's defection.
Dallas with Rondo and FluTyson are interesting. All West teams are interesting!!!

Prediction? I have no idea who wins this thing. GS is a jump shooting team and that spells trouble at some point. I think Cavs from the east and GS in the West because of their record and I have to say something.
Cav's cuz Lebron is the best on the planet and is facilitating. Deal with Shump and JR getting a ring. It happens.
My fandom wants ATL and Spurs in the finals. Pure Basketball. Grizz-ATL finals is a ratings nightmare for the NBA.
Go DC! I'm rooting for them 100% in the East. Once they're out (assuming Nets will already be out after 1st round), I will enjoy watching GS romp on the Cavs in the Finals.

Aside from the Knicks, Wizards and Hornets/Bobcats/Hornets are the other two teams that I follow and root for. Don't know why just do.
I also hope Nets have a good showing. Mets, Giants and Knicks fan but also always root for other New York teams to do well.
Rooting for the Clippers or Grizzlies out of the West. I don't see GS advancing out of the second if they have to face one of these two teams.

Anyone think that Bucks can upset Bulls? It is great to see this happen though chance is slim.

#1. Warriors over #8 Pelicans in 5 = love the exposure for the Pels though
#2. Rockets over #7 Mavs in 6 = i wouldve said sweep if the rockets werent banged up. Carlisle will find a way to win 2 with that old and no defense roster
#6. Spurs over #3 Clippers in 5 = no bench; spurs will prey on LAs weaknesses and short bench
#5. Grizz over #4 Portland in 6 = i wouldnt say "a free pass" but portland is banged up and not the same
EAST
#1 Hawks over BK Knights in 5 = Nets have the talent but no heart
#2 Cavs over Celtics in 5 = maybe ..just maybe coach stevens pulls out a win
#3 Bulls over #6 bucks in 6 = this will be tougher than people think because the bucks play ELITE defense
#4 raptors over #5 wash in 6 = washington is really struggling now. wittman on hot seat

#1 Oakland over Grizzlies in 6 = grizz dont have the fire power to match up
#6 Spurs over Rockets in 5 = spurs are rolling and know how to stop a one man show

#1 Hawks over #4 Raptors = hawks can take care of a jump shooting team with a shaky front line
#2 Cavs over #3 bulls in 7 = bulls now have the offense to compete against lebron; problem is they dont HAVE lebron
Conf Finals
#1 Oakland over Spurs in 6 = father time always win; especially in later rounds of grueling playoffs; but i said that last yr
#2 Cavs over #1 Hawks = i still dont trust the hawks in the big spot; i trust Lebron more
Finals
#1 Oakland over Cavs in 7 = 1st ranked def and 1st ranked offense will win out

That should be a great series. The Bulls are really easy team to root for because the play so hard. The bucks might be able to beat them though. Can't wait.

I can see GS losing to the Spurs (or maybe Portland) and I can see Cleveland losing to Atlanta but I'll still go with GS and Cleveland.

Washington is showing you why you need to have a go to guy down the stretch..Can't believe Beal hasn't developed into that given his skills..
paul pierce is one of my favorite players. always seems to come through with big games at the right time. wiz about to steal home court advantage. i love his game. i also really like doris's color commentary. her and jon barry and chris webber are tops.
