A lot of dudes on this board are saying that he is the best player in this draft.
I don't know if he's Kobe / Jordan level, but he absolutely has the goods, the right mindset, a toolset like Steph Curry - but he's actually got a bigger frame than Steph Curry. He's going to be a star in this league, especially with the way the rules are set up now.

The truth is the top of this draft is very nice, and these guys are also high character kids. I think the top 4-5 are great choices and anyone could be better than any other, DA is purely my personal preference and I admit that

Pretty much everyone I've talked to has said the same thing. Given Knicks history, this probably means the Knicks will get the fourth pick and the Sixers will take Russell third.

When the Knicks missed on Steph Curry by one spot, my friends and I just sat in silence for literally an hour. Same night Michael Jackson died. Sadly, one of the nights in Knicks history I will never ever forget.

Yeah me and my sons were stunned. I just knew that kid would've been perfect in NY. Let's hope this time things go in our favor in the lottery and draft. A top 3 pick would be optimal but even at 4-5 we can still get a good player.

I mean we all have our flavor or preference, but of generally agreed on top 5 (Towns/OK4/Russ/Mudiay/Winslow) I think most agree they are all great prospect and I dont see a clear drop in talent from one to the other. Picking 6-7 (I forgot where we missed Curry took Hill) its much more dicey.

EXACTLY!!! Some Naysayers want to try and make a narrative that falling to 5 would somehow be a massive failure but just looking at the talent in this draft that can't be the case. We'd be in good shape with any of the players likely to go top 5.
I think it's been so long since we've been in this position that people don't know how to deal with this situation. We're not necessarily losers if we pick 2-5. These players were all very close in terms of talent. Perhaps in other drafts there was a major drop from the #1 pick to the rest but this is a good draft IMO.

The hit was hard that night missing out on Curry. But the Knicks always seem to exaserbate the problem by choosing the worst of what is left. Could have easily picked Derozan and the Knicks would be better for it.

I really wanted Jrue Holiday. Brandon Jennings was on the board. Ty Lawson, too. Derozan, sure.
You have to wonder if the Knicks had actually made a good pick if that player would still be here anyway.

I think he could be. It certainly took Derozan a few years to put it all together.
Most rookies, you look around the league and they really take off their third or fourth year.
Most Knicks rookies - start strong in their first season, annointed stars by Knicks fans, struggle in their second years, told they suck, get traded.

Derozan attended college USC.
Russell
Gallo
Melo

Jordan
that team should get to the play offs in the east if everyone stays healthy!

I agree.....I for one think we should be patient with Hardaway, Early and Larkins. If they don't put it together by next season, trade them. I would trade THJ and Calderon to get Stephenson

3 excellent defensive players around Melo/Russell's offense. Shved would be nice there also. Its one version of a blueprint for sure.
