Didn't the Pelicans make the playoffs twice in his 5 years???

Im not trying to defend the decision, Im usually in favor of not "blaming" the coach.
I saw there was an ESPN "Insider" that defended his firing and would be interested in seeing it.
Fans buy the tickets and sometimes a team loses its ears to its coach and needs a new leader to get them to the next level.

they stagnated? they went from 21 to 27 to 34 to 45 wins the last 4 years, all under monty. very poor decision by upper management/ownership. i agree with smackeddog to, the roster does not mesh whatsoever and the teams 2nd best player is always injured. monty did a hell of a job this year.

You guys are living in a time warp of some sorts, if you are not making massive improvements, your going to be fired. You have 3 yrs, that's it...JVG was a allan houston buzz beater away from being fired.

Players will leave losing situations, you guys have got stop thinking poor, baby steps, marginal improvement. In any other sport, or team, fisher would have been fired..period. no one has 5 yrs to sit and wait.

Hey if Jackson got fired after winning so many games every freaking year, I don't see why Monty can't be fired. Since he has been hired, his team only made the playoffs once
