Knicks · J.R. Smith Trolls The Knicks On Instagram.. (page 1)

If you thought Smith would take the high road, think again. He posted a dig at his old team on Instagram Thursday, featuring a sad-before and happy-after image with Shumpert:

What do you do when you whoop the Chicago Bulls 4-2 in the playoffs? Smash out some Instagram memes of course.

JR Smith was pumped up after earning a place in the Eastern Conference Finals and he should be. I mean let’s be real, he could’ve easily been bumming around with the Knicks in the offseason.

Instead he celebrated with his Cavalier teammates and posted the glory for us to enjoy. He hasn't been to a conference finals since 2009, and that was in the West. This time he gets to slip into the warm bath that is the ease of playing in the pitiful East. Going from #KnicksTape to a possible Cavs parade has to be the ultimate relief.

I'm sure Iman Shumpert agrees.

Who cares.

They were both put in a position to fail and expected to do things neither one was able to do while with the Knicks Organization. I am no big fan of either one but they are gone now, apparently happy and, hopefully, we will be also after the draft and free agency.

lets move on.......

JR is still a bum. Good riddance...
Clean @ 5/15/2015 11:12 PM
They are expected to be the 4th and 5th option on the Cavs. They were the 2nd and 3rd option on the Knicks. They are now playing the role that is more suited to their abilities. Their inconsistent nature has less of an effect on the Cavs because they are not asked to be main players. If those off nights occured on the Knicks our only chance to win was if Melo had a superstar game.

I agree I would bump Shump back a few options in terms of offensive expectations.

Frustrating part is watching Shump doing things on the court offensively that he had ample opportunity to do in NY. Needed a change of scenery. At least he isnt trolling the Knicks like this POS.

It's also the role he is playing..We were asking him to do things he wasn't comfortable doing...Bringing up the ball and distribute in the triangle..We are so enamored with system basketball..It takes a long time to get such players and Phil doesn't have that time..We will be looking for players for another guy's system in 3 years...

Remember they got the blame for the triangle not working..

That explanation only goes so far. There isnt a system out there that makes you unable or unwilling to take it to the rim. Ive seen more successful takes to the rim from Shump in one game with the Cavs than I have in a almost a season in NY. I believe Shump can get even better, now that he has some confidence in his game.

I think that has to do with confidence as a player..But he did take it to the rim when he was healthy with us..

holfresh @ 5/16/2015 1:12 PM
Also, there were enormous expectations here..I remember Breen asking Clyde in the first game of the year if he thinks Shump will be an all star this year..Crazy..Don't worry, Tim Jr on deck..We will run him out of town after he doesn't get it..

I must have blanked that part out of my memory. I remember his takes to the rim being few and far between.

who cares... this is an example of why it never pans out for him long term anywhere. his attention is so far from where it should be

I did believe Shump had the talent to eventually be an all star, but not as fast as Clyde and Breen thought. If he keeps improving with the Cavs I think he has a shot. If THJ doesnt show anything this season, I do believe he will be run out of town. He didnt help his case last season. Needs to show more of an all around game and a better attitude.

This is why i didnt want to resign him even after the 6th man award. Unfortunetly the knicks are known for dumb decisions
NYKBocker @ 5/17/2015 12:17 PM
Happy for shump.

"One mans role player is another mans failed starter...."

Jr was a salary dump and Shump was the price. Not sad to see shump succeed but JR was dumped by the worst team in the league save for the last two games in part of his ineffectiveness.

We are witness to the great Lebron James putting his team on his back into the semi finals.

DJMUSIC @ 5/18/2015 9:48 AM

JR is a piece of puke, he got great opportunities
In my with all his baggage, woes by still stood
By him in woodson when Mike was here.

Then the fool asbin in JR don't see how Phil traded
Him 2 Cavs to play with contender and champ LBJ
The idiot Smith isn't even grateful.

Screw him and is team... You may win title
Due to lebron but watch JR mess that up too!
Good riddance,

I rooted 4 Him but never again with his
Foolish selfish self centered instagram.

All wise Knicks fans should feel likewise
He will eventually doom that team in near
Future
