Knicks · How About Our Pick to Phoenix? (page 1)

Seems like the Suns need to rebuild now that Goran Dragic is no longer there. They've had a long tradition of drafting and developing star PGs, so I definitely could see them starting their rebuild by acquiring our pick to select Emmanuel Mudiay. If they were truly interested in upping the ante, I'd be willing to make him, Jose Calderon and THJr available for the Morris twins, their 13th pick (to select Frank Kaminsky) and either Eric Bledsoe or Brandon Knight (via sign and trade).

The Morris twins are exactly the type of hybrid forwards needed next to Melo, who is defensively flawed. From a financial standpoint, they'd also give us excellent bang for our buck since they are locked up long term to cap friendly deals, no matter the standard used. That 13th pick would also be especially valuable if Frank Kaminsky is still on the board. He's no franchise player but he has a skillset that is fine tuned to what we run and will be a pretty good starter for at least a decade. Like Briggs, I suspect that people will be wondering why he went so late in the draft when his career is said and done.

The last portion of the trade becomes a little dicer because I wouldn't do the trade without one of their PGs and they'd be well within their right to demand more compensation. Considering the horrible deal they made after dealing Dragic, I'd have to think that we'd be able to coerce them into settling on our terms. And when you stop to consider that Eric Bledsoe is only worth a damn for half a season, I could see them parting with him easy enough to acquire a generational PG like Mudiay.

Bad trade

Thanks for the insight, bro.

I was on the fence until I saw 1969 didn't like and then I new its potentially a pretty good deal!

It lacks the starphuchedness awesomeness that we all want, but its solid. I'd go Brandon Knight.

Lol......very funny. Phoenix will never trade the twin brothers nor would they look at trading Bledsoe.

More importantly, Melo would never agree to play in Phoenix, for crissakes.

It's NYC, LA or CHI for him.

I want us to keep the 4th pick. Mudiay or Russell I will be OK with. You never know...OK4 might drop to #4.

I agree, Lakers hold the wild card. Don't know if they want OK4 and Randle in there front. Same type of player.
