Knicks · Phil get this the draft and Im good (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 5/24/2015 7:23 PM
#4 PF-C Kristaps Porzinigs 7-2 215

Look at the first opinion of the video --that was me:)

#26(Go get it Phil) PG Danilo Fuzaro 6-5 190

#47 From Philly(for cash) Pat Connaughton 6-5 220 G

Easy as that--and then go back to bed. Give my 10% of the 12mm to charity.

Hes in this years draft right now--he could always pull out and become a free agent next year. You have big man PG and 3 and D all athletes. I like Josh Richardson too round 2 but if we can get the PG we wont need him. Connaghuton is a pure 2 guard. Id accept a trade down with Frank Kaminsky up top or just taking Winslow as well for more options. I dont want to be stuck into 1 player--I think Mudaiys jumpshot is going to put pressure on him and the Knicks. Id rather draft a PG like Fuzaro later with much less pressure and let him develop. Big man or Winslow can help right away with less pressure of a PG.

callmened @ 5/24/2015 9:49 PM
i loved Connaghton at 2G...didnt he have the highest vertical in the combine? i need to read up on J. Richardson
CrushAlot @ 5/24/2015 9:53 PM
I didn't realize Porzingus was 7'2.
BRIGGS @ 5/24/2015 10:07 PM
CrushAlot wrote:I didn't realize Porzingus was 7'2.

Hes lengthy thats for sure. Im pretty much down to taking one of Winslow Kaminsky and Porzingis. I have weighed out the PGs no matter what anyone else thinks--just my opinion. I love Kaminsky but I will defer to opinion that Kristaps has more upside but Id like to see the medical opinion on Kristaps and also like to see Kaminsky and Kristaps in the same workout. Im still very high on Frank Kaminsky--I just feel somehow either him or Winslow will be really good. So ine one months time I will make a final decison on pick 4 but it will be one of Porzingis Winslow and kaminsky and no one else.

The 2nbd two on the list--Im sure fire on. I really like this PG IF we can get another 1st rounder and Connaghuton if we can get a 2nd rounder--with Josh Richardsons as a secondary choice. But I like this set up--big man tall PG 3 and D athlete

CrushAlot @ 5/24/2015 10:09 PM
I think the Knicks were looking for a unique big small/power forward to play next to Melo. I think Grunwald was hoping Leslie and Bargs would be those guys. Porzingis might fill that role.
nixluva @ 5/24/2015 10:11 PM
Good stuff. Only thing is Mills said they weren't expecting to add a lot more kids to the big team. He said they were likely looking to add vets. I agree with you that there are some really good prospects out there. I just don't know if the Knicks brass is thinking about adding 3 kids.

Draft Miles Turner. Rim protection, rebounding, and 3pt shooting.

Turner would be great. Four seems a bit high for Turner.

great point...how come no one has really mentioned Myles Turner? not that id draft him but dude has lots of potential for defense and stretch 5 play

Way too high based on projections but if you want a big that can do all the things Phil has mentioned offensively and defensively he fits the bill more than anyone outside of Towns.

The problem with him is his awkwardness. He looks stiff in the lower body and he runs with a weird gate. Draftexpress has a great write up on him and I think it was diagnose that he has weak gluts but it's easily correctable.

http://www.draftexpress.com/article/Huma...

I have seen people complain about the way he was used at Texas as being a reason why he underperform. A lot of people like to look at H.S. rankings and I believe he was ranked ahead of Towns. So, if you are into that, that's something you can hang on to.

I personally, want the knicks to try to trade back and go after him. I really feel Charlotte would give up major compensation for pick 4. They could use Stein, Winslow, or Mudiay and their F.O. is not known for being the smartest bunch. Anyone who gives Kemba 12m have issues.

I think you are right about his high school ranking. Also, I am not positive but I think he was rated really high, 1 or 2 on draft nets mock before e went to Texas.

What's interesting is Towns are nearly the same size, Towns is taller and Turner is longer, and have similar strengths but one is more agile(Towns).

Forget Kaminsky, I'll do it for pick swap, 39th pick, and Noah Vonleh or a future 1st.

Nah I want to walk out of the draft with either Kaminsky Porzingis or Winslow up top. The trade down is VERY attractive if two number 1's come with it.

To each there own but Kaminsky, Porzingis, and Winslow are all about the same as Winslow to me. Turner and Winslow are the only one of those two that give you a defensive presence and Turner is a big body which phil wants so he wins the "tie"

Well he's no where near Kaminsky. Porzingis was the Euro rising star and played against men. He played a great game against FC Barcelona which beat an NBA team before and his team won the Eurocup. Winslow won a NC was one of the main cogs. Myles played very spotty year 1 on a team that severely under achieved. He had an awkward gate he played very hot and cold and against better teams he was very quiet. And then on the other side he has the physical nature with his skills to be a top 3 player in this draft--But as of now hes far behind these 3 guys. JMHO.
