I would be happy with either Russell or Mudiay. The Knicks will be a far better team with a real playmaker at the 1.
Honestly speaking when I first read the title I thought Westbrook to the Knicks.

I've had this weird feeling Russ Westbrook would wind up on the Knicks when he's past his prime for a while now. I love Russ as a player, but I feel like his knees are a ticking time bomb with the way he plays.
Mudiay plays and thinks more like a PG and Russell is actually a SG who can pass at a high level but he's much more of a scorer. I think Russell's game fits the Knicks best. The reason is that Combo guards do better in the Triangle than ball dominant PG's.
This offense doesn't really utilize the PG skills, whereas a Combo guard who is mostly looking to score is much more comfortable in this system. Russell can catch and shoot but also work the 2 man game and drive. The Triangle doesn't really have many plays and isn't really a PG dominant type of offense.
Russell is my fav player in the draft so there is bias there, but any of those top 4 are very nice picks. Mudiay will be a nice piece. The more Ive followed him the more positive I come away. He's got a lot of heart and toughness, and he's a pass first playmaker. He's also big and since Galloway is more comfortable playing off the ball anyway they make a good fit together in the backcourt.
