Makes sense. Do they not resign Shump then? JR is under contract.
That is an interesting scenario.
If it's not about the money, I'll say the Clippers..But he wants the green..

Could the Clips offer Wade much? It seems like they would have to not resign Austin and not take back Flu in a Jordan deal.

If Jordan bolts and they don't resign Craw..
I find it hard to believe he would leave and Miami would try to short change him- he took a pay cut last offseason didn't he, so they could resign Lebron and some other players- doubt Riley screws him over after that.

this all 'story' is probably just a rumor started by Wade's agent to make sure Riley doesn't short change him, and I guess to alert other GMs to the possibility that if Riley does look to cut his money, that Wade is available.
I doubt it gets that far.
BriggAnxiety on this one.
If the media was accurate he almost went to Chicago a few years ago. Wade if he wants to win should go there at a discount if Butler proves too expensive.
Or.....the clippers.
If he wants to get paid I get it. If he wants to win he needs to look what Duncan/Dirk did and consider it. This puts Miami in a bind but they should just take it back to the fans that they need to rebuild and signing him for max money for 3 years won't help.
I'll take Wade if they include Pat Riley in a package deal.....

Pat Riley, Mickey Arrison, and Dwyane Wade for Phil Jackson, James Dolan, and pick #4. I'd even throw in Melo and Calderon!

so something like Monroe 4 years 13mm per
Wade 3 years 15mm per. But hes a good NBA SG:) even at 75%
Oh my goodness not on here to. Wade will not be a New York Knick and anyone that would even think about paying that dude 15 million per is absolutely crazy. Funny how people talk about how badly we need to stop throwing huge contracts at the washed up veterans but as soon as one thing comes out about Wade and Miami not agreeing on a new contract, people start talking about the Knicks getting him. Did you guys really forget about Amare and his contract we gave him destroying us for years already?? Lol

Yeah we're gonna sign Wade and then sign Rondo and A.Bynum........people are ridiculous on here sometimes.

Briggs created this thread to share media news. Which is exactly what they want us to do. It's called free marketing or publication schemes. They know out of all teams, desperate Knick fans will run with this news. Looking for any glimmer of hope to change the future. This used to work with weak minded GM's.....Lets hope Phil is beyond these publications schemes. There will be similar news as we get closer to the draft...
I can see the media doing Hardens cooking dance as we speak! Trying to stir things up!

I think in past it would be a starphuchedly bad idea to go after him but lets hope the cultural change is for real. Briggs might be the one eating cheerios in bed and ranting some negative Knick Kharma.
Certainly as fans its to be expected after the season we just had, dropping two spots and Isiah resurecting.
Its better to protect ones emotional state by putting it out there as "That guy that told you" then feeling like the team is asking its fans to bend over.
Briggs is usually on point but in the last few days he is "That guy who is telling you". No news, just one mans opinion.
Today? I am "That guy who is telling you to not get worked up". Just another mans opinion. Wade is welcome here for what Bulls paid Pau. Im sure he has kids to feed.

He is from Chicago and we'll gladly take J.Butler off their hands for them cause they won't be able to afford both.

I'd rather have P.Jackson, J.Dolan and our 4th pick.

Yeah i'm quite familiar with how the media uses teams to get attention but i really think this was just simple news about Wade and Miami not agreeing on contract talks and Knicks fans love to speculate on anything free agency and that's what is happening here. I'm sure there's other team message boards that are having fun with it as well but not like knicks fans do. LOL

But no Melo?!
If Wade leaves Miami, I would go hard after Dragic.
Wade got a divorce and married a Hollywood chick..He isn't going anywhere, he needs cash and lots of it..
I think Wade leaving Miami would be the most shocking thing to happen this NBA off-season. I just can't see it happening.
It's a business folks..Wade took a pay cut to help the team and to build super friends..He thought Riles would hook him up on the back end..Riles is balking..
