Wade and Melo would have to convince Love. Its the revenge on Lebron.

no to aldridge but yes to kevin love. They need more range an not another midrange player plus Love's passing is better.
They do need more range..Love has no heart..

So much for loyalty.
I believe he opted out last off-season so they'd have flexibility to retain Lebron at a higher level. When Bron left, Wade took less so they could Max Bosh and add Deng. The assumption was that Riley would take care of him on the back end. Knicks fans can tell Wade how that last part works out.
Yeah he got taken care of on the back end, all right..
Zing! At least he didn't fax it to him
This falls under "When I call it a game you call it a business, when I call it a business you call it a game."
I call it back stabbing- Wade recruited, took less and then took less again.

Sorry, Pat.

I disagree but I know your stance. As players there really is not anything Aldridge can do better than Love except shoot Fts and play slightly better D. The Fts kind of become even since Love usually gets to the line at a higer rate than Aldrige. I also like that Love is younger and lets remember Aldridge perception before Lillard.

Lebron is quick to point fingers but maybe Love should have checked out and taken a two week vacay in Miami. "Attitude reflects leadership".
Also, that Love slump was like two months before the injury.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take Love in a heartbeat..But I was really puzzled why he didn't step up on Cleveland..I think Aldridge is a better player..He is much more aggressive..You need a guy who can get his own shots and not be submissive to Melo..But as you say, we do need range..

ah so that meant "no heart"
sorry ... not used to this old school talk
Love had a good year on cleveland even if it was not as good as in previous years when he was the man. He missed lots of wide open shots that he usually hits and still was efficient just not as efficient.
Cleveland run and chuck offense does not really suit him that well.
his per 36: 17.5 and 10.4 are still very good and his 56.2 TS was good.
No heart? c'mon ... leave that crap at home.

Well, its hard to be effective surrounded by two ball dominating players. Chris Bosh warned people what it takes to be a 3rd fiddle with Lebron. Bosh was getting trashed that 1st year and only received praise when he stepped up in the 2nd yr playoff run. If you put Aldridge between Irving/Wade and Lebron I think you would see and even worse contribution than Love gave.
I do understand your hesitations with Love but for all of Aldridge's aggressiveness he only manage to score 7 more points on 7 shots in a down Love year.

Ha ha!
I still find it hard to believe the Heat would screw him like this- He has been their cornerstone for years, he got them multiple championships, he sacrificed money twice to help them win- there's no way they screw him over.
One thing is, if true, I hope this puts a stop to players being criticised for trying to sign for the most money possible over winning, and this new found expectation that they should sacrifice millions of dollars so their team can sign more players.

At the max? I'm shocked to hear you say that.
I think Cleveland was a really bad fit for him. He can do so much on offense but they didn't use his strengths. I don't think a 3rd option behind Irving and Love would ever be highly productive - not beyond mid teens PPG.

it amazes me that the same guys that constantly rip the shit out of melo are quick to defend love. that seriously makes no sense to me.

If you look at the metrics, you will understand. You may not agree with it, but it should not be confusing or make no sense. There's probably only one person here rips the shit out of Melo, but I take your comment as an exaggeration anyway.

I'm just trying to help the confused
That said, I would never ever give Love the largest contract in the league (and certainly not with a no-trade clause).
I want Dragic so if this ends poorly that has to increase the odds of the Knicks being able to sign him, right?
